With the concept of "link" Internet users have to meet daily. Everyone interprets its meaning in different ways. In this article we will tell you what a link is, what it is used for.
Internet Link Concept
We are all used to the fact that a mouse click on a specific site object or offer redirects us to another page or even a resource. What is a link? This is a tool for moving between sections of the site and directly between the Internet resources themselves. With it, search engines index new items. The structure of the link (or hyperlink) is as follows: URL (address of the page where you are moving) and anchor (element to which the transition is created; may be in the form of a URL or image).
What is a link, we already know. It's time to find out what their types are. Link texts can be divided into four categories:
1. Accurate entry. Keyword or phrase included in the anchor, and the text itself in the same form. Example: <a> wooden table <a>.
2. Request with surroundings . A type of anchor in which a keyword or phrase is surrounded by a near-link text (if it is an article or publication) and advertising, other links, interface elements, and so on. Example: How to buy a <a> wooden table <a> in St. Petersburg.
3. Request with dilution . In this form of anchor, the main key phrase is diluted with an additional qualifying word, which can also participate in the promotion. Example: <a> wooden table in St. Petersburg <a>.
4. Uncensored text . Instead of the query text, neutral words are used (“here”, “here”). Example: buy a wooden table <a> here <a>.
In a broad sense, links can be divided into external (redirected to elements located outside of your site) and internal (redirected to objects located inside the site).
The concept of links in Microsoft Word
What is a link in Word? When using a text editor , a similar question often arises. There are several ways in which a link to a site can be inserted into a document. Let's consider them in more detail.
Option 1
The easiest way is to copy the link from an Internet browser and simply paste it into the document.
Option 2
1. Go to the "Word" program in the "Insert" section. We find the item "Hyperlink" and clicks on it.
2. In the window that opens, we need to fill in two fields: “Text” and “Address”. In the first one we write the name of the link (for example, “wooden table”), in the second we insert it ourselves.
3. Click OK. Done!
Option 3
The link can be entered manually. That is, you can independently register it, starting with the letters http and so on, and press the Enter key. In the future, in order for such a link in "Word" to redirect to the specified site, you must click on it with the left mouse button, while holding down the Crtl key. In the same way, you can do redirects inside the computer. For example, in one text document, make a link to another text or image. To do this, in the window that opens, the section "Hyperlink" instead of the address you need to select the destination file.
In this article, we examined what a link to a site and a hyperlink are in a text document.
