Further, the plot of the " Long Way Home " unfolds according to the scheme known to all. Nadezhda had long dreamed of leaving for Moscow and enrolling in a music school. But after meeting Bolshakov, she decides to go to the capital not for a career, but for personal happiness. Once Vitaly mentioned that he lives in the very center of the city, on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, in a house with columns. But in vain. An annoying country girl, thanks to her efforts and perseverance, finally finds him.

For several hours Nadia awaits her " groom " at the entrance. During this time, she manages to meet a janitor named Zoya. This woman is growing up a son, who can safely be called a child prodigy. The boy quotes Schopenhauer, Roosevelt, speaks two foreign languages fluently (being a student of an ordinary Soviet school). Nadia, of course, does not yet know that her fate is now closely connected with the lives of these people. But back to Vitaly Bolshakov.

It turns out that Vitaliy has long been in love with a ballerina. She, of course, reciprocates him, but rather sluggishly, reluctantly. Rosa is very talented. But in the Bolshoi she only gets secondary roles. It's all in the fifth paragraph of the questionnaire. Hope, possessing boundless conceit, is confident that sooner or later she will be able to “ recapture ” Bolshakov from the ballerina. To do this, first of all, you need to get a job in the institution where her beloved works . Vitaly works at the Ministry of Urban Development.

Having worked as a cleaner for several days in the house where Bolshakov lives, Nadezhda goes to the institution where he holds a very important position. She manages to get a courier. Soon, Nadya, of course, meets Bolshakov, who is by no means happy with her. And this time, the official is not trying to hide his feelings, but he directly tells the girl that he does not want to see her .
Marriage
The life of Nadia Chebotaryova once radically changes. Her beloved shines a new position. But in order to get it, you should have a suitable profile. Namely, to be married, and not on a ballerina with a dubious biography and uncomfortable nationality, but on a simple Soviet girl from a working family. Rosa does not fit the role of a wife, which cannot be said about Nadia Chebotaryova .
Bolshakov marries a girl from the village. But her life does not become happy from this. The husband forbids Nadia to practice singing. Sees in her a housewife, but not her beloved woman . His romance with the ballerina from the Bolshoi Theater continues. Soon , a child appears in the Bolshakov family. Father Lyalyu immensely loves her daughter. He treats his wife cruelly.
After years
Vitaly Bolshakov is the owner of a large company. His daughter is engaged in photography, in which she achieved quite good results. Lelia is going to marry a man named Yuri Popov. He is the son of Zoe, the same woman whom Nadya Chebotaryova met in the first days of her stay in Moscow.
Once Lyalya goes to her mother’s native village. After the death of her grandmother, she needs to draw up an inheritance. On the road, she meets a young man named Andrei, after which her relationship with Yuri is upset. The failed groom works in the company of Bolshakov. He has a pretty good relationship with Olga's father. And therefore, when Bolshakov learns that her daughter broke up with Popov and is going to marry a young man who has no money or connections, she is driven out of the house.
Andrei has two children from his ex-wife. But for some reason, he hides this fact from his biography from Lyalya. Bolshakov’s daughter is used to living in luxury. In order not to limit the requests of his wife, Andrei agrees to a position in the company of his father. After this , tragic events take place in the life of Olga Bolshakova . And as a result of the machinations of Yuri Popov , Andrei has problems. He tells Olga about his ex-wife and children. And then he goes to the prosecutor's office in order to write a statement on Bolshakov and Popov. However, he is hit by a car on the road. Later it turns out that this is a contract murder, which was organized by Olga's failed bridegroom.
After a series of sad events, Lyalya goes to Filkino , her mother’s native village. She is not leaving there alone. Olga draws up guardianship over the children of the deceased husband, whose mother is near death. In the village, Olga is trying to start a new life.
