From childhood he seemed to be an absolutely happy child. Still - to be born in such a family and such parents. But, despite allegations that nature decides to rest on the children of geniuses, this did not happen to him. He worked hard to achieve everything that appeared in his life. And he did all this himself, with his own hands. So, Sergey Gurzo, actor, director, screenwriter.
Childhood
He was born on the second day of November 1947. Gurzo Sergey Sergeevich was one of the twins: parents gave birth to twins - a girl and a boy. The boy was born a quarter of an hour earlier than his sister.
The girl was called Natasha. The boy - Seryozha, in honor of his father. In addition, parents decided that the names of their children begin with the same letter as theirs. And so it happened.
Mom and Dad
The parents of these charming children were actors - Nadezhda Vasilyevna Samsonova and Sergey Safronovich Gurzo. Yes, the same Gurzo, who in 1948 played the Earring of Tyulenin in The Young Guard. Then it was his debut role, which gave him fame. Gerasimov was right: to choose the beginning actor Gurzo for the role of Tyulenin was one of the successes of this picture. All the spectators, holding their breath, watched several times how, thanks to Tyulenin, the German exchange flashed and proudly flied the flag he set over the city government on the night of November 7.
For this picture, the entire crew was awarded the Stalin Prize of the first degree, and of course, Sergey Gurzo was among those awarded. Over the years, the artist’s popularity has become incredible. But all his friends and comrades saw that this in no way affected the character and habits of Sergei. He never considered himself better than everyone else.
He was an amazingly sweet and charming man. He knew how to be friends, knew how to be a true, faithful friend, knew how to value friendship. His strength and enthusiasm was always enough for all his plans and for everyone who was nearby. But the moment came when suddenly something happened, there was some kind of turning point in his life, in his mind and in his creative formation.
Unplayed Roles
His track record has many interesting roles, but there is one that he did not play, which he regretted for a long time. This is the role of Matvey Morozov, written specifically for Gurzo. But it was played by Vyacheslav Tikhonov. And the reason is simple - alcohol. By the mid-fifties, this hobby turned into a disease, and the actor did not want to be treated. He was invited less and less.
Nadezhda Vasilyevna was very worried about her husband. And because all this happens in front of children. In the late fifties, he left the family. Then there were families and children. He died in 1974, not having lived three days before his 48th birthday.
Parents Meet
Mom Sergey and Natalia once recalled how after the war she came from the provinces to Moscow. I really wanted to become as famous as Lyubov Orlova. The girl passed the exams. Classes just started when she first saw Sergey Gurzo Sr. He entered the audience with a wand in his hands, very thin. In her ears Nadezhda Vasilyevna suddenly heard a voice: "This is your future husband." She felt funny and she forgot about this episode.
Time passed and once in a dance class Sergey circled her in a waltz. They haven’t parted since that day. Sergei amazingly beautifully courted. The downside was his constant jealousy. They were second-year students when he made a categorical proposal to her: either she marries him, or they disagree. In 1946, they got married. And next year, Sergey Sergeevich Gurzo and Natalya Sergeevna Gurzo, brother and sister, appeared in a young family.
Continue the work of parents
The twins followed in the footsteps of mom and dad. She became actors. Gurzo Sergey Sergeevich, barely celebrating his eighteenth birthday, made his debut in the role of Konstantin in a truly heroic film story entitled “Odessa Vacations”. This picture is about the very beginning of the war, about its first days, when all the fear and horror of what is happening has not yet been experienced.
Sergey Sergeevich Gurzo, biography which is not very well known to the audience, was so impressed with this work that he absolutely had no doubt in the correctness of his choice. He will be a good actor! A little later, other filming suggestions followed. There was a role in the family drama “Male Conversation”, the psychological detective story “And No One Else,” a film novel with the lyrical title “Lovers”.
Life after VGIK
Gurzo Sergey Sergeevich Gurzo, graduating from the acting faculty of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography , received a photo of which after the first paintings with his participation on the screens appeared in print, in 1970. He studied in the workshop of Boris Babochkin - the legendary Chapaev. For the decade following graduation, he continued to act in films. Unfortunately, over time this happened less and less. In addition, these were mostly episodic roles. But there was one interesting, so to speak, family work: with their twin sister Natalya Gurzo, they worked in the television series Dove.
Gurzo Sergey Sergeevich starred in his life in more than four dozen films. Among them are the interesting roles of Genka in “Male Conversation”, Viktor Somov in “A Man in His Place”, Vaska Garkusha in “A Long Way in the Maze”.
The nineties came. Actor Gurzo Sergey Sergeevich in such a difficult time he managed to establish the Segurt studio (as if capturing his name and surname in the name). At this studio, he directed his paintings as a director. His films, such as "Rubber Woman" and "Ka-ka-do", differed from others by their sharp social orientation, characteristic for that difficult time, and the very principled life position of a real movie artist.
His sister Natalya, meanwhile, shone in the films "Garage", "Coast" and many others.
