Moral education of schoolchildren

Increasingly, reports of acts of child and adolescent cruelty appear in the media. Moreover, this cruelty is aimed at both peers and older people. National conflicts involving young people are also frequent.

In the light of this issue, the moral education of schoolchildren has acquired an extremely important character, which is reflected in the new GEF. The state has officially recognized that this is not a problem of individual individuals, but of the whole society. And it must be solved centrally.

Moral education of children should begin in the family. By school, the child should already learn to distinguish between good and evil, good and bad, “can” and “not.” After all, it is these simple, at first glance, concepts that are the foundation of what we call "moral education of schoolchildren." It should be borne in mind that the upbringing of the personality is a continuous process in which its correct attitude to itself and the world is formed.

The moral education of schoolchildren must, first of all, form such moral categories as patriotism, citizenship , social solidarity, family, as well as the desire for work and creativity, the development of science, culture, art. That is, all those categories, the presence of which among citizens allows the country to develop and maintain their identity.

In the years of study, the moral education of younger students is almost a fundamental step in the development of personality. Therefore, the upbringing of a healthy personality in the spiritual plan should be carried out already in the elementary grades by the joint efforts of parents and teachers, and not spontaneously, but regularly and systematically. For this purpose, special programs for class and extracurricular activities of schoolchildren are created and developed. In the framework of the latter, direct interaction of the school with institutions of additional education, sports schools, cultural and educational organizations is implied.

In the process of extracurricular activities, the student must gain knowledge about the structure of society, social norms, actions approved and not approved by society. He should also have a positive attitude towards the basic values of society and the ability to interact with other people.

Visiting a school library can help a student become a person, in which, when properly organized, he will receive additional information in an interesting and accessible way for him. This is especially true for younger students, who are still very susceptible to the influence of literature.

The moral education of middle and older schoolchildren, in addition to referring to literature, should also be based on other activities. For example, for teens it will be useful to regularly visit the school museum, work on its maintenance and development. This will preserve and strengthen the continuity of generations. However, the moral education of schoolchildren cannot be limited solely to the role of an outside observer - it is precisely the “active” methods of education that turn out to be extremely effective. Only by personally participating in a good, truly necessary deed can a person feel the sweetness of bestowal, see the result of his deeds, and understand the significance of his existence.

An example of such an “active” event is the “School Fairs”, held under the motto “Open Heart”. Their implementation requires lengthy preparation. All students, together with their parents and teachers, prepare for sale goods made by their own hands.

Each class selects sellers, evaluates the goods exhibited at the fair, and conducts an advertising campaign among residents of nearby houses. The entire school staff, as well as guests, take part directly in the fair itself. To attract more participants, this event is attached to a holiday, complemented by a concert of amateur performances. Thus, a large-scale event is being held at the school.

But the apotheosis of the fair is the fact that all the proceeds are transferred to a child who needs paid treatment. All children should be aware of this, even in some cases, students meet with relatives of a man who has fallen into a difficult situation. Then you should inform the school team about how, for example, the operation was performed on the child, to convey to them the words of gratitude from him and his relatives.

By the time of graduation, the schoolchild should already have fully formed moral priorities and values aimed at striving to develop the country, create and maintain order in it, and eradicate the manifestations of nationalism.

But no matter what is said, no matter how unique programs are created, all of them will be useless without a personal example of an adult who enjoys the authority of a student. Only by such an example will he be able to build the right model of relationships and mutual respect between people, as well as form a patriotic attitude to the motherland.
