However, most of them are inaccessible or extremely difficult - not everyone can become an airplane pilot. But then everyone can become a pilot of their personal paraglider. Paralet - this is the name for a parachute with a motor, the same aircraft that many of us have seen flying over cities and villages. So what do you need to purchase it? What is a paraglider?
A paraglider is a design that is as similar as possible to a parachute; most people will not distinguish them from each other. However, there are serious differences between them. The most important thing, of course, is that the parachute is designed to reduce, save during the crash of an aircraft, while the paraglider was originally conceived specifically for flying.
According to the principle of action, a paraglider is similar to a hang glider. The accelerating pilot of a paraglider soars upward, thanks to air currents it gains a great height and, slowly falling and rising again in air currents, overcomes long distances.
At the moment, the record set by man is more than five hundred kilometers. However, this is not the point. The most important thing in the design of the paraglider and the key difference from the hang glider is that when you install a motor or attach a wheeled trolley with a motor, it becomes possible to turn it into a full-fledged flying vehicle. One of these options is a parachute-wing with a motor - a motorcycle paraglider.
Motorcycle Crash
This is the first option to improve the paraglider. It looks from the side like a parachute with a propeller. An installation with a giant propeller is literally put on the pilot’s back, allowing the paraglider to fly higher not only due to airflows, but also using the propeller. Thus, the flight capabilities, duration and overall experience are improved. However, problems also arise - strong winds and thermal activity become a dangerous factor. If the paraglider is mostly safe and incidents are rare, then a motorized paraglider is somewhat more dangerous and requires certain weather conditions, namely calm or light wind.
Paralet
This is what a parachute with a motor is called. In fact, a paralet or aero-shield is a logical continuation of a motorized paraglider. The propeller engine in this case is not mounted on the back of the pilot, but on a wheeled trolley made of special aerodynamic materials. This approach allows you to ensure safety and convenience - both start and landing are carried out on wheels, not on legs, eliminating the possibility of injuring the pilot. Also, two passengers can sit on a trolley, and not one, which makes the paralet ideal for friendly or romantic adventures. In addition, the paralet is safer during flights - a large mass of the trolley and a larger wingspan prevent dangerous maneuvers. And its control is much milder than, for example, on a hang glider. When piloting it, special training is not required; control is performed by the feet, leaving hands free for, for example, photographing. Photos from a parachute with a motor will certainly attract a lot of attention.
Buying an airshow
Seeing him in heaven and finding out the name of a parachute with a motor, many want to buy such a device for themselves. And in general, this is not a particular problem. Due to its size and speed, it is not registered as a private aircraft, it does not need rights. The only thing that is important is to follow the instructions and regulations for your region, which are sure to be explained upon purchase.
However, the question of price arises. If basic paragliders cost starting from hundreds of thousands of rubles, and paramotors mounted on the back - from two hundred thousand, then at least five hundred thousand will have to be paid for the purchase of an airshow. Thus, the price of this aircraft with a motor and a parachute becomes comparable to the cost of a car or motorcycle. This, however, is quite justified - because little can be compared in impressions with free flight in the sky.
Flight training
Although an aero-parachute or a parachute (the so-called parachute with a motor) is safe and easy to operate, you need to take a training course before flying. Some danger nevertheless arises during landing and take-off, although in the whole paralyte it is the most forgiving flying tool, accidents with it are extremely rare. Most often, paralets sell various air clubs. Each buyer is trained by them. Also, such clubs often provide the opportunity to try out air shows on their own or in tandem with an instructor to decide on the need for a purchase. Duration of training is also very small - usually, in order to take off on your own, it will take literally a couple of days of study. Storage and maintenance of the airspace
Aeroshute is a very compact device. It takes up no more space than a snowmobile or an ATV. The parachute-wing in the folded state is also very compact, the main and indispensable condition is to store it in a dry place. Paralet is also unpretentious in its care. Due to the simplicity of its design, all that is required is refueling with oil and oil, as well as replacing candles. The fact that most air shows take off from a distance of twenty to forty meters makes it possible to fly into the air almost anywhere outside the city or on its outskirts.
