How to draw three heroes with a pencil

Some artists have acquired an innate gift for drawing, but this does not mean that the technique of using a pencil cannot be learned. Experience comes over the years, and you need to create paintings with light objects, gradually filling your hand in complex, detailed shapes. For example, you can draw as three heroes, and other similar characters. The image is not of a high level of complexity, if a student knows how to draw circles, cylinders, triangles, dogs and cats with a pencil, then he can cope with this task.

Materials and Tools

One pencil to create a realistic picture is not enough. A minimum of 4 types of hardness of graphite will be required. To gradually draw three heroes, like the masters, you need a list of inventory:

• pencils with hardness HB, B3, B5, B7;
• the “nagging” eraser is a grater, similar to plasticine, can take any form;
• ruler for pointing proportional figures;
• thick landscape paper;
• stationery knife for sharpening graphite;
• shavings to create a sharp pencil tip to draw the smallest details;
• Dense fleece for grouting dashed lines.

Such a set is not expensive. You don’t have to buy half of the items from the list, since everyone has this at home.

Bounding

The picture is complicated by the fact that you need to draw 3 characters on horseback. Typically, artists, in order not to stain paper, draw elements from left to right. Before you draw three heroes with a pencil, you need to make the right basic details:

1. First, the hero’s height is measured by eye, the hero captured in memory is visually transferred to paper, a ruler is placed vertically and lines are drawn: the boundaries of the head, neck, arms, torso, knees and legs. By this principle, horses are painted.
2. A circle is drawn in place of the head. There is a wide triangle on the torso. A rectangle is drawn from the lower torso to the knees. Legs below the joints are indicated by two circles. In place of hands depict oblong ovals.
3. Proportions are observed both in length and in width. They set an original picture and draw the shape of the head and other parts of the body of heroes and horses. Auxiliary geometric figures will serve as a guide.

Strongly contouring is not necessary. After erasing the lines, scratches will remain on the paper. Due to a defect, the pattern will turn out to be less attractive.

Drawing horses, armor, faces and weapons

After applying the basic contours go to the details of the characters. Draw elements of heroes from the head - this is an important rule for artists. It’s easier to navigate and to evaluate defects in the course of creating a picture. To draw three heroes with a pencil in stages, as in the original, you need to adhere to such a work plan:

1. Heroes are painted facial expressions formidable. Pointy helmets are brought in, since this style is inherent in ancient Russian soldiers.
2. Draw rivets and stripes along the lower borders of the protective headgear.
3. Chain mail is depicted by lines intersecting the letter "X". The denser the strokes are, the more beautiful the drawing.
4. Create a pencil with gloves on the elbow of the warriors, leather, with metal rivets and plates on the outside of the palm.
5. Add swords, spears, bows, maces and shields behind. They are designated as shown in the original. The horses are covered with mane, reins, eyes, nostrils, mouth. If desired, you can add any of your items.

Hatching, shading and chiaroscuro

Properly applied strokes will enhance the beauty of the picture, so you need to know how to draw three heroes using this technique. Lines overlap all parts of the body in different ways. The shading on the arms is arched, the same on the torso, head and other elements that are rounded.

Impose at least three layers of hatching, in short lines. Having drawn the first row, a second one is drawn at the borders. The gaps are blocked by secondary dashes. A triple layer will hide all the flaws.

Feather with a piece of fleecy matter. With a light touch, carry out a rag according to the drawing, smoothing the hatching. Do not be zealous, otherwise graphite will be smeared, and the picture will turn out not to be attractive enough.

Black and white areas are marked with a pencil B7 and an eraser. Shadow is indicated by black graphite, hatching in those places where light does not enter. Glare creates a light erasure of those elements that are closer to the light source. At the end, the changes are shaded and further adjusted.

Beautiful background

It is better to add a decent background to the militant characters. In the foreground and in the second half of the back landscape are the field and small hills. In the distance they draw trees. There is no need to draw anything carefully on the horizon. It is enough to depict objects so that it is clear that this is a forest.

In the sky clouds are shading and shading, which smoothly pass into other clouds. The background is not much darkened, like the sky, otherwise it will visually distract the viewer from the main characters, who will be poorly visible in the landscape. In the future, you can draw heroes (both three, and two or one), drawing the smallest details.
