Pictures about the struggle of a loner with glaring injustice are very popular among viewers. However, the plot they have is completely implausible. An eloquent example is the film "Law Abiding Citizen." Reviews about him are very different. We will present some of them in our article.
Plot
Many liked the film "Law Abiding Citizen" (2009). Reviews about him are impressive. And all because of the famously swirling action. Philadelphia resident Clyde Alexander Shelton was seriously injured in a gang attack. His wife and little daughter are brutally murdered. The criminals are captured, but justice is in no hurry. The district attorney informs the victim that there is too little evidence against the bandits and they will have to make a deal with one of them. As a result, the killer was sentenced to three years in prison. Shelton is indignant at such a mild punishment.
After 10 years, the district attorney has to face a chain of incredible events. Those responsible for the death of the Sheldon family die a terrible death. The killer is fast. This is Clyde Shelton himself. He became a professional killer, able to crank up any, even the most difficult thing. The hero dutifully gives himself to jail. However, he later announces that if his conditions are not met, he will begin to kill without leaving prison. They laugh at him, but it soon becomes clear that these are not empty words ...
Review No. 1: the idea is impressive
The author of this review of the movie Law Abiding Citizen claims this is an almost excellent picture. Almost, because there are too many unplanned accidents in it, which in reality cannot be foreseen. And also because the actions of the heroes often lack common sense. However, the idea is impressive. A hero who fights against the system is of interest. The original methods of combating injustice, the charisma of the main character and indisputable entertainment made a strong impression on the viewer.
Review number 2: a purely Hollywood picture
This review of the movie Law Abiding Citizen pays tribute to the skill of director Gary Gray. From the first minutes of the action, the audience is given to understand that they have a fierce action. And everything seems to be fine: the explosions are spectacular, the killings are sophisticated, the main character is impressive. However, the plot still has many gaps. The ways in which Sheldon cranks out his machinations are perplexing. And the implementation of the picture is purely Hollywood. Just think, a punitive engineer threatens the US justice system! The real threat, nothing to say. In short, the drama of a man who lost his family and entered into battle with corrupt officials did not work out because of an implausible scenario.

He cannot but arouse respect and admiration. All who looked at the picture are divided into two categories: adherents of the system, no matter how imperfect it may be, and fighters for justice. Thanks to this, the story takes on a biblical scale. The author of the review refers himself to the second camp and believes that every decent person should be in it. And he is struck by the virtuoso play of Gerard Butler and calls him one of the best actors of our time.

Hard to believe, but for some people Gerard Butler is rejected. And it's not about his acting abilities. It just so happened. However, even this did not prevent the viewer from watching the movie we are describing. And he is just ecstatic. He admires the fact that the main character devoted his life to the fight against the imperfection of the law enforcement system. And he died in this unequal struggle. The play of the actors and the plot are recognized as magnificent. This is a good movie that everyone should watch.
Review number 6: the picture is bewildering
The author of this review of the film Law Abiding Citizen (2009) believes it tells about people with the wrong moral principles. How can one be considered a hero of a man who shreds his own kind right and left? Why isn’t the public prosecutor really punished: after all, he harmed Sheldon no less than evil criminals? Criticism of the "Law Abiding Citizen" is not the most positive. Some said that the picture is similar to dozens of other, more or less successful films. Others complained that there was too much unnecessary cruelty in the tape. Still others felt that acting chemistry between Butler and Fox was not enough to rehabilitate a frankly failed picture. In the review of Ksenia Rozhdestvenskaya (Gazeta.ru), it is written at all that the film has only two interesting things - the winning appearance of the protagonist and the architectural splendor of the Philadelphia City Hall building. As you can see, the critics were too strict and did not fully appreciate the drive that pervades this exciting and piercing picture.
Actors and roles
"Law-abiding citizen" rests on the confrontation of two strong personalities. This is the unfortunate Clyde Sheldon, who has lost a sense of compassion for his neighbor, because life has treated him too cruelly, and the state prosecutor Nick Rice, endowed with power. The first was played by Gerard Butler, the second - Jamie Foxx. Both coped well with their roles. Smart, strong, charismatic, they made this movie unforgettable. Thanks to them, the film thundered on both sides of the Atlantic and is still in great demand among viewers.
Rice’s moral suffering, Sheldon’s demonic attacks ... This can be observed endlessly! The finale of the picture can be called tragic, but still the impression remains that everyone has completely fulfilled his duty. The remaining actors seem only extras in the background of two strong professionals. I would like to wish them new interesting works in theater and cinema.
