In the summer of 2011, Russia adopted an updated Internal Service Charter. The section on sanitary and epidemiological measures defines how to maintain good health and maintain personal and public hygiene.
Article 343 requires the military not to hide illnesses and take care of maintaining their health. If a soldier noticed that a patient is next to him, then, in accordance with Article 346 of the Internal Service Charter, he is obliged to report this to the commander. The procedure for the localization of infected, disinfection of premises and the introduction of quarantine is defined in Article 347.
In order to prevent infectious diseases, article 345 provides for the provision of preventive vaccinations.
Along with a clear regulation of sanitary and epidemiological actions, the authors of the new way of life were quite loyal to tobacco and alcohol. The service does not provide for a complete cessation of smoking and drinking alcohol. The provisions of the Internal Service Charter (Art. 343) only stipulate that the military should refrain from this. But in this article it is prescribed that the use of
psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs should not be allowed.
Young people enlisted in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are required to monitor personal hygiene. How to do this is described in detail in Article 344 of the Internal Service Charter.
The military should wash and brush their teeth every morning and evening before bedtime.
Before you go to bed, you must wash your feet.
The internal service charter prescribes hand washing before every meal. For this, conditions must be created even during field exercises.
Military personnel are required to shave in a timely manner, cut their hair and nails. Those who are allowed to wear mustaches are instructed to keep them neat. In the army, the length and shape of the mustache of subordinates is determined by their commander. Both the mustache and hairstyle should be such that they do not interfere with putting on and wearing equipment.
The new Internal Service Charter (Art. 344) regulates bathing. Everyone should visit there once a week (at least). After the bath, change of footcloths or socks, underwear and bed linen is required. During the week, the military must independently maintain the cleanliness of his bed.
In 2013, showers began to be installed in the barracks. A charter of internal service prescribes a shower along with other hygiene procedures.
In accordance with the Charter, soldiers are responsible for the cleanliness of their uniforms and gateways (white matter, which is hemmed under the collar).
The Charter defines measures to maintain public hygiene. The duty services are required to maintain the cleanliness of the premises and ventilate them in a timely manner.
Monitoring compliance with personal hygiene is carried out according to the daily routine (Article 188), during the morning inspection. If a soldier looks untidy, the commander has the right to impose a penalty on him. The collection procedure is determined by the Disciplinary Charter.
In addition to their duties, military personnel are entitled to appropriate conditions for hygiene procedures. If none have been created, you can complain to the unit commander.
Service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation accustoms young people to daily observance of personal hygiene and respect for their health.
