The first specialized educational institution in Russia for high school students with a full general education program became the Lyceum of Information Technologies (LIT 1533). Feedback from the first students suggests that even before the creation of strong ties with the best Moscow universities and RAS were established. How did this happen? This is because LIT 1533 collected the most enthusiastic reviews while still being the UOC VT (Training and Production Center for Computing Engineering, on the basis of which the Lyceum was opened).
History
And UOC VT appeared in 1972 thanks to the initiative and efforts of INEUM employees in Moscow (Institute of Electronic Controlled Machines). And the outstanding teacher and mathematician A. L. Brudno became the head of this center. It is the team of UOC VT teachers who owes a great merit - they developed and implemented a completely innovative curriculum for their time, which included courses in programming, algorithmics, economics, and computer modeling.
The content of these training programs in the information technology section was composed by Professor Brudno and a whole team of his researchers and graduate students from INEUM. The first teachers of the future LIT 1533 (Moscow) gained unique experience in filling material with training courses, using the widest range of information technologies existing at that time. This is the elemental base of computers, and the technology of data preparation, and assembly language programming for computers of several generations, and computer architecture, and much more.
Training
Just then, the first personal computers began to appear, which made it possible to implement training methods aimed at the future at the training center , and even to hold the first Olympiads for programmers. Almost all graduates continued their education in those universities and faculties where ICT was in key positions. And in 1991, as already mentioned, the UOC-VT was transformed into LIT 1533. The feedback from the teachers speaks of a unique experience that has become a stable methodological basis for the development of the educational process in the Lyceum.
The structure of the new educational institution was fully focused on pedagogical activity with students who are ready for very intensive work, where information and communication technologies (ICT) are the pillar . Schoolchildren from the third to eleventh grade are involved in the educational process, and all graduates undergo specialized training for three years (from the ninth to eleventh grades), which ends with the defense of projects. LIT 1533, reviews about which very often contain information for those wishing to study there, is gaining students annually, and the competition there is always big.
Now
In 2017, the Lyceum will only accept beginners in the third grades, and there will also be a little extra in the new fifth and sixth. The receipt and feedback of the Lyceum of Information Technology 1533 allows you to carry out and leave on your own site, where there is an electronic profile in order to register.
Applicants wrote applications there in March, and a scan of all educational results took place in April. In any case, LIT 1533 has already begun to collect feedback from applicants this year. Specialized and general education courses are built on a modular structure, so the work of students is organized according to the curriculum almost individually.
Location
LIT1533 - where is it, what is it? Let's start with the last one. This is a lyceum in which every student who wants to learn information technology wants to study. The buildings in which the lucky students who entered LIT are studying are located in two districts in the South-West of the capital - in Academic and Gagarinsky.
This is followed by public transport of all existing types, and, in general, the infrastructure is excellently developed. Students come every morning from various districts of Moscow.
Habitat
The environment at the lyceum is the most worthy: such world-famous universities as the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the RAS institutes, the University of Oil and Gas are located nearby. But not only because these objects are within walking distance, the lyceum received the broadest opportunities for communication and creative cooperation with their inhabitants. Itβs just interesting to communicate with teachers of the lyceum and with its students.
Lyceum 1533 grades 9-11 purposefully accustoms to the university system of education. The teachers here are excellent, and their activity is certainly complicated: nevertheless, the level of knowledge-intensiveness of each subject is incredible, we can say it is extremely high, and it is necessary to convey material relating to information technology to each student in a clear and accessible form.
Admission
Young students adapt much easier, so the question "what to do in Lyceum 1533 (information technology)" is always the only answer: you need to start training immediately. Children who come from Moscow schools to the lower grades of the lyceum are almost always ready to accept a new level of requirements, and therefore they master the material much more successfully and acquire the skills that are now called the competencies of the twenty-first century. They are not rebuilt, the demanding atmosphere of the lyceum immediately becomes their natural environment.
And teachers strive to create all conditions so that the integration of the results of educational, design, research work of students is most effective. This helps the graduates of the lyceum in the future: they already know how to develop projects, with each class more and more long and complex. That is why the final certification here combines the exam and portfolio.
How Lyceum Students Learn
The first secondary educational institution in the capital to receive at its disposal a broadband Internet access channel, immediately began to actively participate in the largest educational and sociocultural network projects. Particularly significant was the participation in the project, which was carried out by the National Training Foundation, dedicated to the informatization of the education system. With its help, the development and examination of training programs that exist in the Lyceum was carried out. Interactive video conferencing on the Internet is an idea and initiative of lyceum students, and today you can see how much it has become popular. About Lyceum 1533 very soon they spoke in the country and abroad.
Microsoft Corporation in every possible way supported the beginnings of the first Russian lyceum of information technologies, in particular, it was thus possible to participate in the MSDN AA program, which is why lyceum students are now available with the most advanced programming tools (including the development of Web projects). Already in 2005 and 2006, the lyceumβs employees began collaborating with the publishing house: as a result, a multimedia manual was prepared for studying Russian school principals under the Partnership in Learning (Microsoft) program. Famous teachers and scientists from many regions of the country, as well as graduates of the lyceum participated in its creation.
Contacts
Reviews about the Lyceum of Information Technology 1533 are overwhelmingly positive. Of course, people also visited here who did not succeed with adaptation and study and who blame others for this, however, you should not pay attention to these rare cases. The rest are thrilled. The reviews and ratings of students about LIT 1533 describe in detail all the vicissitudes awaiting beginners along the way. From here you can find out that the ninth, tenth and eleventh grades are studying on Lomonosov Avenue in house number 16, very close to the Universitet metro station. And those who enter the fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth grade will study on Profsoyuznaya Street in the fourth building of house number 24.
Branch ext. Education and an elementary school are nearby - behind the stadium, along Krzhizhanovsky Street in 4A. From the metro station "Profsoyuznaya" walk literally three minutes. From high school to secondary and junior, that is, from Lomonosovsky to Profsoyuznaya, you can slowly walk in twenty minutes or quickly get there (bike, scooter, bus, tram, trolley bus - to choose from). To get any information, you can call. During school hours, you can get answers from nine hours to eighteen, and during holidays from ten to sixteen hours.
Structure
The organization of the structure of the lyceum differs from other educational institutions. The director and his four deputies belong to the administrative and managerial staff. Deputies: for education, educational, economic work and safety - as everywhere else, but the deputy for informatization is a hallmark of the professional orientation of the institution.
The same thing happens with the teaching and auxiliary personnel: in addition to educational psychologists, librarians, a social educator, professional educators and accountants, it is necessary to have computer center engineers. The lyceum is managed (in addition to the pedagogical council and the director) by the founder of the lyceum and the general meeting, as well as the academic and governing council. The highest self-government body is not the director, but the general meeting, where the lyceum students themselves and their parents actively participate.
University system
In rare schools (for example, named after Bauman), graduates already have good experience in studying in conditions close to university ones: these are tests, seminars, term papers, graduation projects, that is, the very realities in which lyceum students will have to exist in the near future. The ability to work with projects in clearly defined and well-learned stages is especially helpful in adapting to university conditions: first, an application for a chosen topic, then development of a task, passing intermediate defenses, and so on.
All this helps not only the personal development of self-discipline, but also establishes interaction in groups, teaches teamwork, if the project is a joint one, makes you communicate with friends involved in similar topics, and most importantly, teaches you to value your personal time, and also instills leisure management skills.
Leisure
Every year at the Lyceum, while studying, teachers create creative groups in order to switch students on vacation during the holidays. These events are thought out in all details, and therefore almost always successful and memorized by lyceum students for the rest of their lives. Even their rest is aimed at development, moreover, versatile. General events include a variety of thematic trips, trips, excursions. Very great work with gifted children. All the activities of the parent committee, the teaching staff is aimed at ensuring the maximum implementation of the program - the development of the personality of each child comprehensively and comprehensively.
Creative groups of teachers developing plans for general events should involve students of all parallels in the collective work. This is, first of all, team-building games, for example, economic, all kinds of holidays, ecological excursions, creative workshops, this is a visit to the best theaters, the most interesting exhibitions and museums. And you can also find a lot of lively and interesting reviews about this, they are especially noteworthy after returning from trips to historical places of Russia and other countries.
