Float tackle is the most popular with anglers. And this is understandable, since for hunting for peaceful fish, float fishing is the most optimal and efficient way of fishing. Well, perhaps this tackle is the most affordable and simple, does not require special financial investments for expensive equipment. However, despite all the simplicity, there are many options for fishing equipment. But fishing on a “float” will seem primitive only to an amateur. To achieve stable and tangible results in float fishing, a serious attitude to this tackle is necessary, which deserves respect no less than the same spinning and feeder.
So, modern float tackle will consist of the following permanent components:
- telescopic or plug rod ;
- multiplier or inertialess coil (only with running equipment);
- fishing line;
- float for fly fishing rod ;
- small sinkers - olives;
- hook.
Since this fishing rod is one of the oldest, it is not difficult to assemble it. Making fishing tackle at home does not require special skills. First you need to study the properties of the materials from which the rods are made, and the types of assembly. Also try and decide for yourself what you like best: a telescope that is easy to carry or a long-throwing plug. As soon as the rod is chosen, it will be possible to begin to snap it.
First of all, float tackle is equipped based on where and whom the fisherman is going to catch. It also takes into account the presence and absence of fishing lines on the fishing rod. If there are none, then the equipment is called deaf, and if there are - running. By the way, the vast majority of the latter are on sale. Their advantage is that they allow the angler to fish at a much greater distance. As a rule, running gear has a reel seat. Rods with blank equipment are mainly used in sport fishing competitions, where, first of all, the ability to manipulate tackle is evaluated.
And, of course, float gear is impossible without a float. Like other accessories, it has a number of important characteristics and properties. There are
floats for fishing on the stream and in still water. They differ from each other in shape, weight and even color. In a separate group include floats for the match. In general, it can be pointed out that there are many models, and all of them are designed for specific specific fishing conditions or fish species.
Summer and winter float tackle must be equipped with sinkers. They differ from each other primarily in weight and shape. Despite its small size, this tooling element is no less important, since in combination with a float and fishing line, it, in essence, makes up the most critical part of the “float”. Due to the weight of the sinker, the bait is delivered to the fish, and it is not possible to simply make a good cast without these small “olives”.
