Character Biography
Adrian Thoms as a child lost his parents, so his older brother was engaged in his upbringing. The guy was very smart, as evidenced by his success at school and the positive feedback from teachers. And when he grew up, he began working as an electronic engineer in a company that he founded together with his business partner, Gregory Bestman.
For a long time, Thoms worked on creating a costume, putting on which a person could fly like a bird. And achieved excellent results. Adrian was going to tell his partner about his successes, but after learning that Bestman had been stealing their total money all this time, he decided to leave the company.
By that time, the costume was completely ready. Trying it, Thoms felt a significant surge of strength. He realized that in this way he could provide himself for life. But honest work does not achieve this. And from that moment on the city appeared a cruel and dangerous criminal - Vulture ("Marvel"). He chose this nickname, alluding to the peculiarity of the costume.
Meet Spider-Man
For the first time about the Vulture it became known from criminal news after the robbery of one of the banks. But the villain did not care until one day he was tracked down by Spider-Man. Peter Parker has long dreamed of meeting him. And then it finally happened. True, then Spider-Man was not an experienced fighter, so he lost the battle and miraculously managed to escape alive.
The next meeting was more successful. This time, Peter Parker took advantage of his own invention, which destabilized the costume of the Vulture, which allowed him to be caught. Adrian Thoms was jailed, but not for long. After a couple of months, thanks to the prison store, he managed to collect new equipment and escape.
He would have to hide, but the Vulture ("Marvel") did not engage in crime. Therefore, when a new insidious idea arose in his head, Spider-Man was nearby. The problem is that Thoms has not yet managed to completely restore his costume, so the outcome of the battle was a foregone conclusion. He lost again.
Six for one
For a while, the Vulture had to rest in prison. But the world is not without good people, so Adriana was waiting for a pleasant surprise. Dr. Octavius helped the villain escape, and, of course, he was counting on a return service. The Vulture (Marvel) was supposed to join his team, which already included Mysterio, Craven Hunter, Electro and Sandman. The villains chose their enemies by drawing lots. And fortunately, for Mr. Thoms, Spider-Man was the first target.
The plan was simple - to lure the hero into a trap, and then make him "dark." The thing is that Peter Parker has not used his skills for a long time, so at first he lost. But in the end he got together and defeated every villain.
Goodbye and hello, old age!
Prior to his career as a supervillain, Adrian Thoms was already a man in years, and then cancer was discovered. Fear of death pushed him to the invention of a new device that stretched the vital energy of other people. He began to quickly grow younger, and most importantly, he was cured of a deadly disease. Although the brain was still visited by insidious thoughts, the Vulture opened the hunt for those who knew him as an old man. But plans were disrupted by Spider-Man and his copycat Marauder, who recently switched to the good side.
During the next fight with Spider-Man, Thomson was attacked by David Calen, able to dissolve any object that he touches. But this was not a friendly gesture towards Parker, just a mutant blamed Adrian for the death of his brother. Using his ability, he reversed the rejuvenation process, returning Tumsu to his old age. Since then, few have seen an engineer. But the Vulture did not disappear, because at that time there were many who wanted to try on his costume.

The equipment that Adrian Thoms created is a very useful gadget. Using magnetic technology, the suit increases strength several times and contributes to the high survivability of its carrier. Thanks to the wings, the villain develops a speed of up to 150 km / h and rises to a height of several thousand meters.
Of weapons, the Vulture (Marvel) uses conventional and energy pistols, claw gloves, and various types of bombs. True, over time, he had to redo the suit, because its initial version just provoked the appearance of cancer.

Vulture is often found in other universes. For example, in the Marvel 2099 universe, he again becomes an enemy of Spider-Man. There he wears high-tech armor and is a cannibal. In the Marvel Noir universe, he is behind the assassination of Ben Parker and the abduction of Aunt May. And in Marvel Ultimate, the Vulture was again in the "Sinister Six", the purpose of which was to kill Peter Parker.
