Story tale
In the film “New Year's Adventures of Masha and Viti”, the actors who performed the main roles presented two opposite images. One of the characters is Vitya, who devoted his maximum attention only to technology and science. The second main face of the film is Masha, who faithfully believes in miracles and goodness.
While they helped decorate the hall on New Year's Eve, Masha magically revived the statue of Santa Claus. The latter sent the guys to the fairy-tale world to save the Snow Maiden, who was stolen by Koschey the Immortal. Before sending Grandfather Frost instructs the children and gives them such advice: provide all those in need with help, quickly navigate in difficult times and support each other if there is a difficult time.
Koschey, of course, found out about this and sent his assistants, representatives of the evil spirits, to meet the children. But the actors of the film "New Year's Adventures of Masha and Viti", who played the main roles, did not shy away and in turn defeated all this evil. So, they quickly rushed off in a mortar from Baba Yaga, struck Lesha with an electric current, and the cat was simply distracted by an artificial mouse.
Positive characters
However, not only with evil spirits had the chance to meet the main characters. In the film "New Year's Adventures of Masha and Viti," supporting actors played Yablonka, Pechka and Starichka-Lesovichka. They helped Masha and Vita to find the kingdom of Koscheevo with the help of an apple, a ball and coal. Later, these same characters will help the children to escape from the chase and return to their world with the Snow Maiden. And there they were already waiting for the holiday, gifts, Santa Claus and other children.

In the film “New Year's Adventures of Masha and Viti,” the actors, whose roles are considered the main ones, were still very young. For example, Masha (Natalya Simonova) was only seven years old at the time of filming, and Vita (Yuri Nakhratov) was nine. It is noteworthy that for the actress Simonova, the role of Masha turned out to be a film debut, and Nakhratov already had experience - this was his third work.

However, according to the plot, it was slightly changed: instead of Snow Maiden, Snow White needed to be saved, and instead of Santa Claus, the Wizard asked the children. Also, the lyrics are slightly different from those in the video film.
Entertaining facts
In a musical fairy tale, the performer of the role of the cat Matvey twice turned to Koshchei as an uncle, and this is no coincidence. Nikolai Boyarsky is really a relative for Mikhail Boyarsky. The latter received the first significant popularity precisely after the release of "New Year's Adventures", where he managed to maximize show both his acting abilities and vocal abilities. In addition, Boyarsky was entrusted to play two roles at once - a wild cat and Koshchei's assistant. Later, viewers were able to see Mikhail Boyarsky in the films “Dog in the Hay”, “Mom”, “Matching of the Hussar”, etc.
The performer of the role of Viti, Yuri Nakhratov, after the release of the film, admitted that in life he is equally enthusiastic about technology and science. So, during the filming of young Yuri, they were interested in ways of building special effects, creating smoke, flying stupas. To find out a lot, he even made friends with a pyrotechnician, who subsequently allowed Yuri to make small “explosions” and hold up the raised fire. That is, it was enough for Nakhratov to play himself with the only difference that in fact he has excellent eyesight.
The picture was filmed in parallel with the Blue Bird tape. It was from here that the scenery of the fairytale forest was borrowed.
The guitar played by the cat Matvey is very similar to the bass guitar of Paul McCartney. The cat holds the guitar like a lefty, like a famous singer.
The name “Wild Guitars” refers the viewer to the vocal-instrumental ensembles popular in those years, the names of which contain the word “guitar”.
