How to shoot a series to surprise a modern viewer? Maybe fly to the moon or take as a basis the life of a serious and respectable oligarch? Everything was already and everything was boring. This is probably what the creators of the series Cursed Paradise thought. The actors in this project of the NTV channel were "lit up" with the famous, but not that famous, so they did their job honestly, starring in a risky movie about the life and ups and downs of an elite institution providing intimate services.
Idea
We are accustomed to living on the thumb, suffering from routine and complaining about problems, but more often than not, when confronted with real turmoil, we are horrified by the cruelty and unpredictability of the modern world. In the series "Cursed Paradise", the actors did not even expect that some of the scenes would be so cruel and frankly realistic. The project was conceived specifically for the NTV channel. The plot is dramatic, but close to reality. The story revolves around beautiful, young, but unhappy girls who, for various reasons, are forced into prostitution.
What? How? And who?
In 2008, the series "Cursed Paradise" was released. Actors almost immediately gained popularity, although before that, only Evelina Bledans was recognizable. She got the ambiguous role of "mother", the mistress of the brothel, but at the same time a simple woman and mother. She has her own world - her "damned paradise." Actors revealed in a new way in the project. For example, Maxim Drozd is a rude and strange, but typical man, beloved of the heroine Bledans, and her subordinate, the head of the Cain guard. The most striking roles were given to girls playing "workers" of an elite brothel. This is Julia Beretta, Angelica Agurbash, Olga Zeiger, Julia Uchtkina and others. They were required to keep in excellent shape and play literally on the verge of beauty and vulgarity.
Roles and main purpose
In the first season, 48 episodes of 45 minutes each. The series captures and immerses in itself, which is greatly facilitated by the piercing and relevant soundtrack. After a successful debut, director Igor Korobeinikov set his sights on two more parts a few years after filming the Cursed Paradise-1 project. The actors have changed only partially. The composition was very good. It all started simply: a place near Moscow, an elite cottage where a secret, but popular in certain circles, brothel for noble clients works. In this place, any forbidden, desperate desires are fulfilled. The territory is surrounded by a high fence, security, cameras everywhere. Girls come here in different ways and in most cases are no longer chosen. Someone is being stolen from the street, others have long earned prostitution, and still others simply had the misfortune of liking an important city "bump." Some girls fall into a brothel at a minor age. The Cursed Paradise specializes in fulfilling wishes. If someone suddenly dies or is ill because of a sadistic client, then the administration does not bear any losses.
Girls are regularly delivered abroad. Especially at the price of a virgin. The brothel has all the conditions for living in a golden cage: a doctor, stylist, cook, spa. The "mommy" of the girls is young, beautiful, deeply family, with children. There is no husband, but the lover is responsible.
Crises and cataclysms
Girls work well and bring income to the cash register, but the relatives of some of the missing are announced. Law enforcement agencies are showing interest. The human factor and, of course, love play a role. Katerina Ivanovna falls in love with Cain, whom she is jealous of, and therefore slowly removes girls who can destroy relationships. She has a son, whose girlfriend became pregnant. The son wants to get married, but mother herself decides the question: the girl is being sold abroad, after having an abortion. The brothel is ultimately taken by storm, during which Cain dies, defending Katya. The freed girls are not happy with their freedom, but Katya is in prison. Actors of the series “Cursed Paradise” (Evelina Bledans and Maxim Drozd) aroused general interest on the set, as everyone was waiting for the development of their relationship in real life. However, the novel did not follow, which the actors explained simply: "There is no interest in fleeting relationships and sex in booths."
Main storyline
It all starts with the enslavement of Anyuta, nicknamed the Scarlet Flower - a fragile girl that her mother sells for debts. Annie refuses to serve a rich client, and she is thrown out of a racing car. The girl’s father is discovered - Nikolai, who is looking for her and attacks the trail. To test his suspicions and establish his daughter’s whereabouts, he introduces his friend and sister Marina to Paradise. In the series Cursed Paradise, actors and roles were not always distributed according to status. So, absolutely unexpectedly, the main role was given to Olga Zeiger, a blonde with minimal experience and doll appearance. In her archive there are only two roles in the series, but the main roles. Her father was played by Nikita Salopin, an actor with a much more solid foundation of work in film and theater. On the screen, Salopin's patronizing attitude towards the girl was visible.
Main love line
Cain and Katya by the end of the first season pulled most of the audience to their side. People began to actively root for such sweet and passionate bad guys and wish them happiness. At that time, Bledans had over twenty roles in the movie, but the whole comedy plan, and the reputation of the clowness ate firmly. She managed to transform into a strict, decisive, tough and passionate "mommy" brothel. The only weakness is her beloved bodyguard, for the sake of which she even began to remove her rivals. He, in turn, turned out to be breaking the law because of her. The excuse is weak, but in the end Cain dies, covering Katya with himself. Maxim Drozd did not want to appear in the second season and decided to take a break from Cain. But the audience did not forgive, and the character had to return to "Cursed Paradise-2."
Not related to the movie
The actors did not always end up in Cursed Paradise. And the roles were received by singers, and even representatives of other professions. The image of Marina's prostitute was given to Julia Beretta, the former soloist of the Strelka group. At the casting, everyone was struck by the fable “Crow and the Fox” she read, which Julia performed in Georgian. In her piggy bank there are many characteristic movie roles and a fairly successful solo career. The role of Bella was given to Angelica Agurbash, whose filmography does not yet include a dozen roles, but the girl managed to put on one personal show program. In the series "Cursed Paradise" actors (photos are presented on the page), at least some, fell even without casting. For example, Tarzan (Sergey Glushko), who played a partner in several scenes with Agurbash.
Continuation of a story
Successful broadcast made the shooting of the series “Cursed Paradise-2” predetermined. Actors and roles have not changed much. There was even Cain, who was almost killed at the end of last season. The new project has more romance and an exciting intrigue, in the center of which is Katya and the new mistress of the elite brothel - Margot. The latter was played by Marina Kudelinskaya, an artist of the Satyricon theater, who grabbed this first big role in the very difficult quality of the "mommy" brothel. She is also busy on radio and TV. Of the last roles, Kudelinskaya could be seen in the TV series Interns and ChOP. Marina plays a not-so-successful business woman who is trying hard to prevent Katya from recovering as a mistress of a brothel. Her tricks are low and insidious, and Katya over the years in prison has changed, become softer and imbued with love. It becomes even more difficult for her when the deceased Cain is declared. It is necessary to act by the methods of the enemy. For example, to return to business Alik, who was let into the world by former love. The intrigue spins actively, and in the course of the narrative new faces and new young stars of the screen open up.
