Childhood

Little is known about Yegorov Igor Vyacheslavovich’s childhood. Born in Gorky, there he grew up. At seven, he went to a football school. There he was identified as a midfielder. By the way, at this school, he met some other players who played for the Russian team. For example, with Dmitry Cheryshev.

After Yegorov graduated from football school, he went to view in FC “Chemist”. This club was based in Dzerzhinsk. In this club he spent his entire youth.

Player career

At age 20, Yegorov was taken into the army. Because of this, he had to part with professional football for a while. But in the army, he still continued to play.

After the end of the service, Igor Egorov returned to football. He was invited to his Lokomotiv camp, whose base was in Gorky.

The joy of Yegorov Igor Vyacheslavovich did not last long. In the same season, he received a serious ligament injury, and also damaged menisci. Due to injury, he had to reject the offer of one of the clubs.

For 5 years, Egorov decided to stop playing football. He opened his own business - his own sportswear factory and a club-bar. All this brought him considerable profit, but he still missed football. In 1995, Egorov was offered to become a judge.

Egorov’s career as a judge went uphill. Already in 2001, he made his debut in the top football division of Russia. For two years, Egorov Igor Vyacheslavovich served 26 matches of the Premier League.

In 2009, Khodeev and Malorodov made a mistake in judging. As you know, in the championship of Russia there is a limit on foreign players. So, these judges during the match between Lokomotiv and Zenit did not notice that the head coach of the St. Petersburg team released the legionnaire in the 81st minute, thereby violating the limit, but after 4 minutes the coach corrected the situation.

Because of this oversight, the coach of the judges was suspended from refereeing for the 1st round of the Russian Championship. Egorov supported his colleagues and refused to enter the field while they are in disqualification.

After a judicial career

Egorov decided to stop serving the matches as an arbiter. Instead, he went to work as vice president of FC Nizhny Novgorod. In early 2017, he became the head of Anji from Makhachkala. He worked there for only six months, after which he moved to the Yenisei, based in Krasnoyarsk. He works there now.
