One such influential figure in the world of martial arts will be discussed in this article. The name of this person is Vladimir Khryunov. We will consider his life in more detail.

Khryunov Vladimir Viktorovich was born on June 11, 1967 in a little-known layman in a Kazakh city called Taraz. Since the father of our hero was a big fan of sports and regularly updated his subscription to the newspaper "Soviet Sport", it is not at all surprising that Volodya became interested in physical education from an early age and was accustomed to sports. The young man graduated from secondary school with a gold medal, which indicates his high intellectual development. After which he was drafted into the Armed Forces of the USSR. As a military man, Vladimir took an active part in various handball competitions and therefore he was able to reach the level of the USSR master of sports in this discipline.

Education

After the service, Khryunov Vladimir Viktorovich moved to the warm region - Krasnodar Territory. Moreover, the move to this region was focused on the fact that the former soldier and his family will live permanently at the new place of residence. Start a career in business

It is worth saying that from a young age Khryunov joined the ranks of businessmen. While attending the Krasnodar Polytechnic Institute as a student, he began to conduct business. And a little later he became an employee of the East Siberian Plant of Metal Structures. At the same time, he already lived almost all the time in Moscow and was engaged in providing the enterprise with orders and exports. In parallel with the commercial work, Vladimir Khryunov, whose biography is given in the article, in the 90s for the first time tried his hand at sports management. So, in particular, he was the administrator of the Russian national diving team, was engaged in the affairs of the Olympic winner Dmitry Sautin.

As a promoter, Khryunov Vladimir Viktorovich was maximally realized precisely in boxing, where he ended up, in general, completely by accident. And all thanks to the fact that his business partner Neretin completely gave up his rights to three well-known and very promising Russian fighters: Stepkin, Teslenko and Selivestrova.

In the summer of 2003, Khryunov was able to organize a duel for the title of intercontinental champion between Duran and Stepkin. The battle took place with the stands full in the arena of the Vityaz hockey palace and was broadcast live on Russian television channels. In addition, in the same 2003, Vladimir took on the organization of the Maskaev-Francis match at the Olimpiysky sports complex. This show was broadcast by Channel One, and he did it for the first time in the history of Russian professional boxing.

In 2005, the Russian sports manager for the first time abroad branded the ring with Nemiroff. And at the end of 2006, Khryunov made a historic step in the country's sport - in the Russian Federation he organized a fight for the world title according to the WBC version, in which Oleg Maskaev and Peter Ohello came face to face. For this achievement, the Federation of Professional Boxing of Russia awarded Vladimir the Crystal Glove as the best figure in the field of the country's professional boxing.

May 2010 was marked by another powerful breakthrough. This time, Khryunov managed to ensure a duel between Russian Denis Lebedev and a living boxing legend American Roy Jones Jr.

In the spring of 2013, Vladimir, together with businessman Ryabinsky, was able to win the bid for the right to conduct a fight between Vladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin.

On August 24, 2013, a boxing show entitled “World Boxing in Stalingrad” was held in Volgograd. Over 200 thousand spectators came to watch live matches. This figure was a record, because before that, the best achievement was 132,274 people gathered in Mexico City to fight Chavez and Hogen. In a word, the record was broken in Russia during the fight between Dmitry Chudinov and Jorge Navaro.

In the fall of 2013, the organizer of the matches of professional boxing, Khryunov, initiated the show “The Great Fight in the Great Altai”. The honorary guests of the evening were Nikolai Valuev and the well-known former world heavyweight champion Evander Hollyfield. The main fight of the evening was a confrontation between world champion Svetlana Kulakova and challenger Mutoni. As a result of the battle, the victory went to the Russian woman by a judicial decision.

On December 21, 2013, at the Dynamo Moscow stadium, Khryunov held the colossal boxing show THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL. As part of the boxing evening, Roy Jones defeated his French opponent and became the WBU world champion, while Dima Chudinov knocked out his Colombian rival and thereby won the title of interim WBA world champion.

The apotheosis of the triumph turned out to be two fights in which representatives of Russia took part - Chudinov and Kulakova. And if Dmitry was able to win his battle, then Svetlana, unfortunately, had a duel with the Argentine and thereby lost the unique opportunity to win another championship belt for herself.

In addition to the athletes, the bright and dynamic show was adorned by the groups “Leg Cramped” and Uma2rmaH, as well as former TATU soloist Julia Volkova.

It is worth noting that before the start of the show, literally a few hours before its start, the legendary boxers Tszyu and Hollyfield conducted an open boxing training in the Severnoye Tushino park. In the summer of 2014, the Russian sports manager took a tremendous risk and won the right to hold a boxing show in the Crimea. This evening was approved by the World Boxing Association. In April 2015, Vladimir Viktorovich helped former Ukrainian world champion Stanislav Kashtanov to fight under a Russian license. On May 9, 2015, Russian boxing showed its strength in Germany. On this significant day for all Slavs, a duel took place on German soil between Felix Sturm and Dmitry Chudinov. At stake was the title of full champion of the world. And the Russian fighter managed to beat the local athlete on points. All match tickets were sold out in a week.

In the summer of 2015, Vladimir Khryunov became the one who was able to organize a large show in the Crimea, referred to as the “Battle at Gasfort Mountain”. Roy Jones was invited as an honored guest, who a few days before this evening personally asked Vladimir Putin for Russian citizenship.

Hand-to-hand combat activities

On November 7, 2014, Khryunov, together with the All-Russian Federation of hand-to-hand fighting, created the conditions for holding the first-ever large-scale tournament in this sport in the country's history. This fight night was broadcast by the Fight Club channel. During this tournament, 14 athletes from various weight categories who fought for the right to receive the title of the absolute champion of Russia in hand-to-hand fighting held their fights.

April 18, 2015 Vladimir held a championship in this sport, which was dedicated to the seventieth anniversary of the victory over fascism. More than 170 fighters from 40 states came to the tournament.

So, Vladimir is the initiator and founder of the prestigious boxing award THE GOLDEN GLOVES.

In addition, the promoter and manager was able to organize a musical tour of the Russian Federation to his ward Roy Jones Jr. By the way, this boxer got his star on the Walk of Fame in the VEGAS shopping center next to Hollywood stars also thanks to Khryunov.
