Every year, carpet paths around the world are filled with famous and prominent figures in world cinema: directors, scriptwriters, producers and, of course, actors. The Dallas Buyers Club made a splash in 2013 in its award season when Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto took the statuettes at once at the three most prestigious Hollywood awards. Plot
The Dallas Buyers Club tells the true story of Texas resident Ron Woodruff. The plot of the article was taken in 1992, which attracted widespread public attention. A man makes a living by working as an electrician, and his main hobby is a rodeo. He is not particularly picky about sexual relations, the consequences of which lead him to be examined in a hospital. It turns out that Ron is sick with the immunodeficiency virus, and he has only a few weeks left. In 1985, America was just beginning to conduct active research on such diseases, and not everyone could get drugs. From the test drug, which is secretly delivered to the hero from the hospital, he experiences even greater malaise, so he takes a desperate step. He travels to Mexico, where illegal drugs in the USA are distributed underground. So, he begins to actively transport them across the border and organizes his own so-called Dallas customer club, in which patients can receive all the necessary drugs for a membership fee. He meets a dying transvestite named Rayon, and he becomes his indispensable assistant and close friend. The picture does not affect the entire period of time that was allotted to Woodrof, but in the end the audience will find out that he has been struggling with the disease for seven long years since the diagnosis was made.
Creators
The film “Dallas Buyers Club” was transferred to the screens by director Jean-Marc Valle. He also independently edited his picture, for which he was even awarded an Academy Award nomination. As it usually happens, Vallee started his career with low-budget films, series and short films. Ten years have passed since the start of his filmography, and finally he achieved success after the release of “Brothers CRAZY”. This was followed by Young Victoria with Emily Blunt, who received an Oscar for best costumes, and the touching drama Cafe de Flor. But the most famous and successful of his paintings today is precisely the “Dallas Buyers Club”.
Preparing for filming
Due to lack of budget, the shooting was carried out in a very short time, especially for paintings of this kind.
