Plot
The film “Beloved Woman of the Mechanic Gavrilov”, whose actors recreated a simple story on the screen, is simple and lyrical. A woman, the mother of a teenage girl, is waiting for her fiance at the registry office. But he does not come. Rita - and this is exactly what the heroine of Todorovsky’s film is called — does not believe that he could deceive her.
The plot covers only one day. But for this day, Rita manages to experience a whole gamut of emotions and feelings: from happiness to complete despair. Only in the last episode (the very next day) is the missing groom found. More precisely, he himself comes to Rita. It turns out that he could not come to his own wedding, because he stood up for a stranger. For which he was detained by police.

Among the guests there is also the husband of her friend - a faceless man, whose role was played by Stanislav Sokolov. But they all, realizing that the groom did not appear on such a solemn and important day, quickly dispersed.
This film is not just a description of one day in the life of a single woman. The plot is a collection of short stories. In front of Rita, a young Georgian kidnaps his bride. A submariner persuade his girlfriend to register a marriage, since the very next day he may be in the Far East.
Rita is not returning home. She is looking for Gavrilov, reflects on her fate, becomes a witness to important events from the life of random people. And gradually the character of Rita is revealed. This woman is lonely because she does not want to live with an unloved person, she does not know how to adapt. But meeting her with Gavrilov is the last attempt to become happy. He appears in the final episode of the picture. Not alone, but accompanied by police. And Rita understands that her “last attempt”, fortunately, was successful.
