Michael was born on November 13, 1964. His birthplace is the city of Leningrad. He began to engage in theatrical activities in his school years. At the same time he studied at the Theater of Youth Creativity.
In 1981, immediately after graduating from Lyceum No. 395, Mikhail Chernyak entered the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, now called the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts. The young man chose the department of acting for himself. By the way, he studied on the course of the cult theater director - Zinovy Korogodsky. In 1985, when the training was left behind, Mikhail joined the troupe of the St. Petersburg Academic Theater named after Lensovet, which in those years was called the Young Theater. First roles
At the Young Theater, Mikhail Chernyak played such roles as Kai in The Snow Queen, Porcupine Saga in Mowgli, Tommy in the play Peppy Long Stocking.
Six years later, from the actor, Mikhail retrained in the director of the same theater. Today, no production is complete without it.
