Urticaria is an allergic disease in which blisters appear on the skin and mucous membranes. It should be noted that at least a quarter of the entire population (most of which are women) have experienced urticaria. With constant contact with the allergen, blisters on the skin do not pass.
The main provoking factor for the appearance of such an allergic reaction is the release of large amounts of histamine. This compound is produced by the body in contact with an allergen. Depending on the rate of development of sensitization (sensitivity), blisters on the skin may appear after the first exposure to an irritant (allergen) or after repeated contact with it. The reaction becomes pronounced if the concentration of antibodies in the blood becomes too high.
Under the influence of active substances in the capillary walls, permeability increases. In this case, the vascular fluid βdripsβ into the dermis (actually, the skin), thus forming a blister.
Urticaria can be caused by an insect bite, drugs for vaccination, transfusion of blood components, and the use of medications. In addition, blisters on the skin occur when in direct contact with the allergen or when eating foods that can cause an allergic reaction.
In this regard, patients who are predisposed to allergies or with previously identified episodes of urticaria should be given antihistamines before vaccination or local anesthesia.
The disease is manifested by the sudden formation of bright pink blisters in large numbers. With urticaria, the main part of skin rashes appears within an hour. A little later, with a still high concentration of histamine, an even small amount of blisters may appear. After several hours, the bubbles either disappear, or the next wave of an allergic reaction develops with the formation of new lesions. This development of urticaria differs from most other skin diseases. A pathology that has passed into the chronic stage can last for months or even years.
When you touch the blisters with urticaria itch. The size of the lesion may affect the general condition of the patient. The disease can occur with a headache, malaise, fever.
The appearance of blisters can be triggered not only by urticaria. These formations can result from friction. Blisters on the feet, or rather, on the soles of the feet, often appear precisely for this reason. Skin rubbing on socks occurs due to excessive sweating of the feet, wet weather. In addition, blisters may appear when wearing tight shoes. In such cases, you should choose shoes by size, socks without seams. There are special, two-layer socks designed to prevent the formation of blisters. If the lesion does not cause discomfort, then you do not need to touch it, as it is eliminated after a while on its own.
Blisters on the fingers may result from a burn. Many in such cases tend to pierce the resulting bubble. It should be noted that doing this is highly discouraged. The fact is that the skin of the blister prevents the penetration of infection, and the fluid contained inside it, promotes the formation of a new skin.
However, often these bubbles cause discomfort, hurt and sometimes even itch. To eliminate these unpleasant sensations, it is recommended to regularly lubricate the affected area with oil. In addition, care must be taken to ensure that the blister is in clean conditions. If possible, cover the affected area with a bandage, after lubricating the problem area with aloe juice or calendula. The dressing should be changed every day.
