The devil appears on the movie screen quite often, much more than his eternal adversary from heaven. In what kind of cinematographers was he not imagining before the audience: an elegant, refined oligarch in a stylish suit, shocking unique in striped leggings, a real fire-breathing monster. As many films with the devil confirm, the impure has a lot of guises.
Traditional image
The classic devil of the old school, gigantic and with impressive horns, the viewer can see in the film "Legend" (1985) Ridley Scott. No less frightening is Satan in the movie "Spawn" (1997) by Mark A. Z. Dippe. The image of the protagonist from the guilty of Guillermo del Toro's “Hellboy” is interesting, although it is many times milder than the prototype from the restart of 2019 of director Neil Marshall. Although these tapes can hardly be included in the category "movies with the devil."
In the film “The End of the World,” directed by Peter Hyams, the lord of hell had a hard time. He was opposed by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger, armed with a grenade launcher. How can one not recall the domestic film "Sea Devils". Seven members of the special group “Smerch” would have dealt with such a threat if it arose.
Style icon
Among the films with the devil, in which Satan appears in the image of “luxurious simplicity and elegance,” are leading the “Heart of an Angel” by Alan Parker, “Devil's Advocate” by Taylor Hackford, the mini-series “Master and Margarita” by Vladimir Bortko and, of course, “Konstantin : Lord of Darkness ”by Francis Lawrence. Who would have thought that a fallen angel could go so damn stylish suit. In the clothes and habits of the evil one of these projects can be traced a great light bliss. However, even with apparent imposingness, they will not allow themselves to be fooled.
An exception
In the list of films with the devil, the tape "Blinded by Desires" stands out. In this picture, director Harold Ramis gave the devil the part of the delightful Elizabeth Hurley. As a result, the protagonist had to resist the spell of the most seductive enemy of the human race in the history of cinema.
In George Miller’s Eastwitch Witches, the devil is a reptile and a villain, but an exorbitantly charming reptile! Although he will get the nuts from three charming witches. Another confirmation that the female spell and the devil will be brought to the zugunder.
In Tony Scott's “Deal with the Devil,” the Prince of Darkness is so eccentric that it is just a bunch of positive outrage. Marilyn Manson appears to him in the appendage. As it turned out, there are such films with the devil.
Appearances are deceptive
In the Mexican-Chilean horror, staged by Guillermo Amoedo in his own script, the Tempter takes the guise of an innocent child. And in the film “Devil's Refuge”, two sisters, Maria and Camila, who broke into the mansion of the influential senator Jose Sanchez-Lermontov with the aim of robbing, bind the owner and spouse to obtain information about hidden treasures.
After scouring the estate, the girls stumble in a locked room on their daughter Tamara. Not believing the words of the concerned parents, they release the child and soon realize that not everything in our life is subject to the laws of common sense and logic. Only the Bible can protect them from the horror of an apparently innocent child. But it is not exactly.
