Childhood and youth
Dmitry was born shortly before the collapse of the Soviet Union - in the winter of 1990 in Balakovo. The boy’s childhood was in the difficult nineties, and his parents decided to give him hockey so that a real man would be raised from the child. Dmitry did not resist and was happy to attend the sports section. At first this was a usual hobby, but over time it became clear that for Kugryshev hockey is more than just a game.
Coaches noticed that the young athlete stands out from the rest. Already in the late nineties, it became clear that the guy would be good. Many years later, Dmitry recalled that times were difficult, and sometimes there was no money to buy new skates and clubs. The hockey player is still grateful to the coaches and parents who were always close on the way to professional sports. The player’s professional career began in 2006. At that time, the young striker was only sixteen years old.
Carier start
From 2006 to 2008, Dmitry Kugryshev was in the system of Moscow CSKA. The hockey player played for youth teams, and as one of the most talented juniors he was allowed to train the main team.
In 2008, an important event took place in the life of a young athlete. The Canadian youth club "Quebec Remparts" came to Dmitry. This team plays in the junior league, and almost always invites young and promising hockey players from other countries. As part of the Canadians, the young Russian showed himself well and earned praise from the coach and the press. The demonstrated level of the game among juniors could not go unnoticed by professional teams. Dmitry holds the 2010-2011 season at the American club Hershey Bears. All the while the young man spoke overseas, CSKA watched his game. In the end, still Dmitry Kugryshev will return to his native club. The hockey player will spend two seasons in Moscow: 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. The main striker did not work out, and on the ice he went quite rarely. The following year, he began as a player at HC Sibir. In this team, Kugryshev spent two seasons from 2013 to 2015. The hockey player switched to the new composition under such conditions that the “CSKA” received the priority right to choose a draft in 2013.
At Sibir HC, the young athlete managed to reveal himself in full and showed the best qualities for which he was once invited to Canada. He managed to get two hat-tricks in just one month, and by this indicator he became the fifth player in the entire history of Russian hockey. He also obeyed another achievement - the striker was lucky to become the youngest player who has ever managed to score two goals in one match.
In 2015, CSKA decided to return the striker, and Dmitry Kugryshev again returned to Moscow. He has been a member of the “army” since 2015.
Career Team
The hockey player has not yet managed to play for the main national team of the country. However, he spoke a lot for youth and youth teams of the Russian Federation. It is noteworthy that he managed to collect a large collection of awards, which includes medals from the world championships. The main achievement in the athlete's international career is the victory in the world championship among juniors in 2007.
