Warts are skin tumors that look like a nodule, or papilla. The etiology is often viral. Appear at any age, but more often in children. Epithelial tumors can be caused by several viruses, some develop into malignant. The infection may "appear" in one wart, and may cause numerous neoplasms, sometimes remaining for years, and sometimes disappearing even without intervention.
Especially common is the virus that "grows" benign, simple warts, which are elevated seals up to 10 mm in diameter, with uneven surfaces, clear borders, and usually round shapes.
The fight against warts is often delayed. Treatment depends on the means themselves, on the type of formations, on the degree of damage, on the possibility of the appearance of new growths. Independent struggle with the disease is possible only if the formations are not malignant. Therefore, a doctorβs consultation is required.
Laser control of warts involves the coagulation or evaporation of skin cells under the influence of a beam. Removal takes place in layers, the duration depends on the location and depth of formation (usually two minutes is enough). Complications of pigmentation or scarring are extremely rare. The fossa that has appeared on the skin at the site of removal of the wart is leveled after two to three weeks. Local anesthesia.
Fighting warts using a surgical coagulator is another, almost painless and common method, consisting in cutting off the formations and coagulating the surrounding tissues with a thin metal loop under a high-frequency current. Local anesthesia. Perhaps the appearance of a barely noticeable flat scar at the removal site.
Surgical control of warts (surgical excision) is appropriate in case of extensive formations. The operation is simple. Local anesthesia. Sutures are removed after a week.
To reduce warts, you can use liquid nitrogen (cryodestruction). The product is applied with a cryoapplicator or a thin cotton swab. The wart turns white, becomes denser. Then a gradually drying bubble appears. Usually, after a couple of weeks, only a light pink small spot resembles a wart. Plantar formations require several similar freezes.
And finally, several options for how to reduce a wart in old folk ways.
1. Pound a clove of garlic, stir the gruel in a teaspoon of vinegar essence and add the flour to bind. Cover the wart with the resulting dough, having previously closed the skin near the formation (ideally, with a patch in which a hole is cut). Tie and leave for three days. Usually, only one procedure is enough - the wart is "removed" along with the bandage.
2. Mix castor oil with ordinary baking soda (in half). Lubricate the warts with gruel until they disappear.
3. The "dry" ice (the one in which the ice cream is stored) helps a lot. Apply it to warts at least three times a day for a time that you can tolerate. Usually enough weeks.
4. Dry chalk powder also removes warts in a week. But formations must be chalked constantly. Better to apply fixing bandages, changing them daily. It is impossible to wet.
5. Before going to bed, drip acetic or salicylic acid onto the wart.
6. Good lubrication and lubrication with juice of celandine or dandelion. But the process is long. Only fresh juice is needed.
In pharmacies, there are already ready-made medicines (Cryopharma, Super Celandine, Wartner, Maxiwart). Use according to instructions.
Types of warts are different. Accordingly, the treatment methods are also different. They must be selected individually. Therefore, it is better to entrust the doctor with the disposal of warts.
