Over the twelve seasons of the series “Supernatural,” the heroes of the picture, brothers Dean and Sam, managed to survive a lot. More than once they died and came to life, but the most unexpected event in the history of the series was the transformation of Dean Winchester into a demon.
Becoming a demon
Before the release of the ninth season of the serial, the creators of the project promised the fans that the completion of the chapter could plunge them into shock. And so it happened, the final series of the season more than once surprised the audience. At first, the fans were shocked by the moment where the protagonist of the series “Supernatural” Dean perishes at the hands of Metatron. In the next scene, a demon named Crowley begins to talk with the body of the deceased, after which he opens his eyes, which instead of green turn out to be black. This episode ends, and fans of the tape had to wait almost a year to find out the continuation of the story.
As it turned out, due to the fact that Dean wore the Mark of Cain, he could not die, so she brought him back to life, but not as an ordinary person, but turned him into a Knight of Hell. Demon Dean decides to fully enjoy his new essence. As the guy later finds out, Crowley knew what would happen to him after his death, but did not tell, so that later he could use his powers to solve his own problems. However, Crowley’s plan doesn’t work, because Dean does not intend to obey someone’s rules and do the dirty work.
Differences from other demons
Due to the fact that Dean turned into a demon in an unusual way, his abilities differed from ordinary demonic possibilities. First of all, the demon Dean could not leave his body, as other creatures from hell do. The cause of attachment to the body was Mark, which changed the essence of Dean.
In the first episodes of the tenth season, it also becomes known that Dean is much stronger in other areas of existence. The demon can resist Abbadon's abilities, which gave him an advantage in the battle with her. Also, holy water acted differently on Dean. Like all demons, he was burned by her, but he recovered much faster. In addition, the power of Dean was superior to other demons and was equal to the power of Abbadon, who was also the Knight of Hell.
Healing
Despite the fact that Mark turned Dean into a demon, it remains possible to rectify the situation. Sam intends to heal his brother, thereby returning to him the human essence. To do this, he had to inject cleaned blood, but here everything went wrong. As it turned out, the blood of the man who confessed caused Dean incredible pain. For a while, Sam was certain that the demon Dean would die.
However, something happened that no one expected. Since Dean was only half a demon, human blood helped the guy get out of the demon trap. Then the demon Dean decided to kill his brother and angel Kas, who were at that time in the house.
In the end, Sam managed to defeat the slightly weakened Dean, and inject him with the last dose of blood. There is practically no hope of Dean's healing, but the older Winchester still becomes a person.
It was this outcome that fans of the series expected from the creators of the tape. However, during the filming of the tenth season, fans came up with many theories of continuation of the story.
