A new generation of federal state standards has contributed to a significant change in the content of educational programs. A social science project should be done by each child (group of children) during the school year.
Family and family relationships
Lessons on this topic are aimed at the formation of a pedigree compilation skill. As part of the training sessions, children get an idea of โโthe family as a particle of society. To consolidate the material considered as part of the lesson, students are offered various topics of social studies projects.
Grade 5 is the first year of study of this subject, so it is important through the research and design work to form a cognitive interest in the study of this social discipline.
Activity plan
The teacher talks about the importance of the family, about the distribution of responsibilities between its members, introduces children to its types.
The basic concepts that are formed in fifth graders:
- parents;
- authority;
- generation;
- a family;
- duties and rights.
The project on social science on the theme of "Family" the guys make up after considering the theoretical part of the material. As they work on the project, students get acquainted with their ancestors, compose a family tree, work with the textbook.
Before the fifth graders begin their independent work, the teacher introduces them to the parable "The warmth of the family hearth." Thanks to this parable, the children will understand what social science project they can do so that it is connected with the theme โFamilyโ. It can be made in the form of a computer presentation, essay, photo album.
Parable
Once happiness decided to leave home. It is difficult to say why it made such a decision. Before leaving, she agreed to fulfill one desire of each member of the family.
- What would you like? - the hostess asked for happiness.
She said that she had long dreamed of a mink coat, and received it as a gift.
The adult daughter wished to marry a wealthy foreigner, and her dream was also fulfilled. The son of the mistress was given a bicycle by happiness. On the threshold of the house, happiness came up against the owner, to whom it also offered to fulfill one desire.
โI want,โ he said, โso that my house does not leave the warmth of my homeland.โ
Happiness fulfilled the desire of the owner and did not go away. After all, it lives only where there is a family hearth!
Schoolboy work
The student can offer a finished project on social studies in the 5th grade "My family".
โI have a small but very friendly family. The three of us live: mom, grandmother and me. But, despite this, we have our own family traditions. We celebrate Christmas together and gather on New Year's holidays. No matter how busy we are, we put off things and begin to prepare for the festivities. First, we decorate the Christmas tree with toys, then we make greeting cards, and then we proceed to organize a festive table.
In the evening, at the New Year's table, we talk about how we spent the year. We will definitely share our wishes in the near future.
In my project on social studies, I want to add a story about another important tradition that may seem ridiculous to someone. In August, we harvest delicious pickled cucumbers and tomatoes for the winter. Food that is prepared with such love and care seems surprisingly tasty and healthy.
But that is not all. My great-grandmother is a rear worker, during the Great Patriotic War she worked at a factory, made live ammunition for the front. May 9, we will definitely remember her, go to her grave, bring with us pink carnations - her favorite flowers.
I wrote my project on social studies in the form of a story about the family, about our common traditions. โ
Conclusion
The social science teacher faces a difficult and responsible task - the formation of a family value system among the younger generation of Russians. As part of the course, special attention is paid to the formation of tolerance towards representatives of other cultures and nationalities. The social science project "My Family" performs several important functions at once.
As part of their independent activities, children gain research skills, learn the history of their family, its main traditions and customs. During the presentation of the finished material, communication skills are formed and developed, a positive attitude to family values โโis laid.
