What is the point of such competitions?
It was always believed that a student should be comprehensively developed, regardless of the faculty chosen. It is also important that young people learn to find a common language with their peers, communicate and develop.
These were the main reasons that stood at the origins of the creation of such games. Today, all group leaders occasionally tell students about what the Universiade is and try to attract them to this event.

The word “Universiade” comes from the words “university” and “Olympiad”. Similar competitions are held at various levels - local, regional, regional, national and international. Their main goal is to give students the opportunity to relax and have fun, instilling in them high moral values.

International Universiades
Universiades are very popular at the international level, especially in the USA and Europe, and a lot of students participate in them.
The first such international competition among students took place in 1905 in the United States. Since then, they have gained immense popularity, and today they know about what the Universiade is, almost all students in the world. There is even an International University Sports Federation.
As a rule, Universiades are held in the summer and winter once every two years.
For example, in 2013, such an event was also held in the city of Kazan of the Russian Federation. In a row, these were 17 international games. The most recent competitions were held in the summer in the Republic of Korea in the glorious city of Gwangju, they became the third games in a row in the republic.
The next summer universiade of international level will be held in 2017. The owners will be the inhabitants of China, namely the city of Taipei.
Requirements for Universiade Participants

- Have the citizenship of the country from whose university you will speak.
- At the time of the games, be a student of your educational institution.
- Be between the ages of 17 and 28, inclusive.
