Modern cinema is simply overwhelmed by vulgar American comedies, and Russian directors are not particularly pleased with good films. In this regard, older viewers often experience nostalgia for Soviet paintings. This article will present a list of comedies of the USSR, which, in our opinion, are the best. We will not give their full description, but only tell the beginning of the plot. Suddenly there were those who had not yet watched them. So, let's remember these great films.
The Diamond Arm
This excellent picture by Leonid Gaidai, shot by him in 1968, opens the list of comedies of the USSR . The main character Semyon Gorbunkov, who works as a modest employee in Giproryba, goes on a tourist trip abroad on a cruise ship. A walk along the streets of the eastern city ends for him with a fall and a dislocation of his arm. Smugglers in the vicinity, having heard from the slipping Gorbunkov the passphrase “Damn it!”, Considered him to be a liaison. After one of them corrected the dislocation, Semyon lost consciousness.
Gentlemen of Fortune
It was impossible not to include in the list of comedies of the USSR this brilliant picture, shot by Alexander Sery in 1971. It begins with the fact that three crooks steal from the excavation site of archaeologists a golden helmet belonging to Alexander the Great. Professor Maltsev, who reported to the police, accidentally meets on the bus a man very similar to the Assistant Professor, the leader of the criminals. It turns out to be a wonderful person and a talented kindergarten teacher Evgeny Troshkin.
Caucasian captive
No wonder this cult film was included in our list of comedies of the USSR, because in the 60-70s its main character Nina was an ideal of beauty for almost all Soviet men. The naive and kind folklorist Shurik goes to the Caucasus to study ancient rites, customs, tales, legends, toasts. As a vehicle, he uses a donkey, who suddenly began to resist and stood up in his tracks. At the same time, a driver’s hospital truck named Edik was stalled nearby. Girl Nina passes by. Suddenly, a donkey begins to follow her, and the car itself starts and starts to move.
Irony of Fate or Enjoy Your Bath!
This film could be included in the rating “New Year's Comedies of the USSR”, a list of which we will compile in a separate article. At the beginning of the picture there is an animated screen saver about the creation of similar architectural projects and the widespread distribution of exactly the same houses and neighborhoods in different cities of the country. After the credits, Pavlik begins to reflect on this with irony, heading on the bus to his friend Zhenya with the intention of inviting him to take a steam bath.
Love affair at work
And closes the list of films of the USSR, the comedies in which they really knew how to shoot, this famous painting by Eldar Ryazanov. The action takes place in the 70s in Moscow. The main characters are two. He is Anatoly Novoseltsev, a shy and insecure extras, raising his two sons alone. She is Lyudmila Kalugina, director of an institution with a car and an apartment. It seems that she has everything, but in her personal life she is unhappy. Therefore, he spends most of his time at work.
