Transverse shift method

This method is best used when the patient cannot be turned, but it is possible to raise the upper body or plant it.

Action plan:

1. We roll the sheet in width by a two-thirds roll.
2. Then the nurse lifts the patient a little, holding him by the shoulders, back.
3. We remove the pillows. We roll to the patient's back to roll with a roller.
4. After we pad the pillows already in clean pillowcases. Then we lay the patient on them.
5. A nurse lifts the patient in the pelvic area.
6. She rolls away the dirty part, and we put a clean sheet in its place.
7. After laying the patient.
8. Then the nurse lifts the patient's legs.
9. We completely remove the dirty bed from the bed.
10. Then we roll out a clean sheet to the end, fill it under the mattress from all sides.

Change of underwear (shirt)

This manipulation is carried out to maintain personal hygiene, prevention of pressure sores.

To change, you need: a shirt is larger than the patient’s clothing.

Action plan:

1. First, raise the patient’s head, remove the pillows.
2. After slightly raise the patient, assemble the shirt up. That is, it should be assembled at the level of the armpits from the side of the face, and from the back - near the neck.
3. Next, fold the patient’s hands on his chest.
4. Then, with your right hand, support the patient at the back of the head. With this left, grabbing the shirt on the back, carefully remove it. Make sure that the dirty thing does not touch the patient's face.
5. Then lower the patient’s head onto the pillow.
6. Then take off the shirt from your hands.
7. Then put on clean clothes. All actions are performed in exactly the same way, only in the reverse order. First, collect the shirt on the back. After we put on hands.
8. Then we put our hands on our chest. And holding the patient’s head with his hand, we put on a shirt with his left hand over his head.
9. Then we straighten the clothes to the bottom.

The hostess sister always has clean linen. Dirty is collected in oilcloth bags with a special marking “for dirty laundry”. Then he goes to a separate special room.
