The formation of creative activity
Catherine was born in early October 1974 in Kalinin (now Tver). Today, the actress would have turned 44 years old. About her childhood years, practically nothing is known, however, according to some interviews, it can be concluded that Lapina always dreamed of becoming an actress, especially dreamed of filming a movie and popularity so that it would be recognized on the streets and approached for autographs. After graduation, she went to Yaroslavl to enter the theater institute. She studied at the course of Astashin and Klip. Received a diploma in education in 1999. However, the girl did not want to stay in Yaroslavl. She intended to move to Moscow and try her luck there.
In Moscow, actress Ekaterina Lapina became recognizable. Then the career went uphill, and personal life was adjusted. The girl met with the famous director Alexander Basov, with whom she began an affair. A man from the famous family of Vladimir Basov and Valentina Titova. Many were gossiping that the provincial was thus making her way to the big stage and cinema. However, the marriage was quite strong and was concluded for love.
Debut movie roles
Actress Ekaterina Lapina in Moscow was truly able to open up and show her full potential. She began working in the theater on Pokrovka, which was directed by Sergey Artsybashev. However, she always wanted to act in films. Therefore, she constantly went to auditions. Luck sooner or later had to smile. She starred for the first time in Petersburg Secrets, a series that was released from 1994 to 1998.
Then the actress was invited to shoot the series "DMB", where she stayed for several seasons. Here the first popularity came. Thanks to the role of ensign Karnaukhova, they began to recognize Catherine on the streets, strangers came up, asked for autographs and joint photos.
From the beginning of the 2000s, she continued to act actively - she played in The Searchers, Shifted, The Dark Horse, and the sketch Sasha + Masha.
Last roles
Combining filming with a movie and working in a theater was not easy. Actress Ekaterina Lapina worked hard, practically sparing herself and not thinking about her own health. After all, she completely surrendered to her beloved business.
From 2004 to 2007, Lapina starred in several major projects: "Unequal Marriage", "Virtual Romance", "Fly." Appeared in episodes of the famous TV series "Secrets of the investigation", "Viola Tarakanova", "Garages", "Call", "Airport" and others.
Tragic death
In mid-February 2012, a woman left a country house in Lobny, where she lived with her husband, Alexander Basov, got into her car and headed towards Moscow. The actress was late for another audition. During the night the weather turned bad, ice formed on the track. Catherine lost control when she drove into the oncoming lane to overtake the transport ahead. A garbage truck crashed into the actress's car at high speed near Lobny. A terrible accident happened. The car was crumpled so that the rescuers barely managed to pull the woman out of the car.
Catherine was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital. The actress was urgently operated on. However, after anesthesia in the evening of the same day, she was unable to recover. The woman died at the 37th year of life. She had no children married to Basov.
The family decided to cremate the body of the actress. On February 18, 2012, her ashes were interred in the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery in Moscow.
