One of the most popular German actors of modern cinema is Jürgen Vogel. He teaches young people to be themselves and not to be shy about their place in life, but to persistently go to their goal. Playing the roles of ordinary people, the actor shows how unique they can be. Jürgen himself claims that in each film he plays the role of himself.
Creative way of the actor
Little is known about the early biography of Jürgen Vogel: he was born in a very ordinary family, his father worked as a waiter, and his mother was a housewife. In addition to Jürgen, three more children were raised in the family. From early childhood, Jürgen Vogel woke up a craving for fame and began his career as a young model, posing for photos of fashion magazines and sometimes pacing on the catwalk with adult models.

At 16, the actor starred in his first film and began to seriously think about the future profession. Deciding to become a film actor, he entered the Munich Theater School without a doubt, but the next day the future movie star left the school. Jürgen decided that the school would not be able to give him the proper education, since he devotes too much time to theory. Either the unwillingness to learn, or the inner flair played into Vogel’s hand, but the lack of special skills and knowledge did not prevent the talented actor from breaking into the world of cinema. The guy is trying to try his luck in Berlin, where he is renting an apartment with actor Richie Muller. Jurgen Vogel became recognizable after the release of the movie “Little Sharks” (1992), in which the actor played almost himself: the guy accidentally ended up in a theater school and was trying to convince the training college of his creative abilities.

In most films, Jurgen plays those people who are practically not accepted in modern cinema: these are working people, fanatics, drug addicts, the unemployed and terminally ill. Actor Jürgen Vogel is trying to show people that it is normal to have a completely ordinary profession and deal with everyday problems. And indeed, his game is striking in its naturalness, and the characters are pretty and rather charismatic.

Pretty felon
But a breakthrough in his film career was his own project “Free Will”, in which Jurgen played one of the leading roles, wrote the script for the film and became a producer. His role was rather difficult, but Vogel coped with it brilliantly. The film tells about how a person with mental disabilities learns to live in a world that is fixated on sex. The maniac who raped three women leaves the hospital after brainwashing, but does not even imagine that to adapt in real society will be an impossible task. Fortunately, on his way to a better life, she met a girl who also had a hard time, and together they try to help each other become better.

The main character, Ludo (Til Schweiger), is trying to interview Jürgen Vogel, inviting him to an interview, and Vogel does appear for a conversation, but in a rather unusual form for him: with hair extensions, an inserted snow-white smile and buttocks, like Jennifer Lopez's. It is noteworthy that the four children of Til Schweiger play in it, and the frame where Jürgen Vogel passes with Nora Chirner (the main character) along the red carpet is a real reflection of the presentation of the award in Berlin.
