The fire safety manual in the office regulates the actions of personnel during the danger of a fire or smoke in the workplace. The contents of the instructions distributes the responsibilities of the persons responsible for the evacuation of employees and material assets of the company.

- inform about the fire to the person responsible for the fire safety at the facility (in the organization);

- Prior to the arrival of firefighters, it is necessary to independently take possible measures to eliminate the source of fire, the evacuation of workers, valuable property and documentation.

The standard fire safety manual defines the person responsible for fire safety at a given facility, who upon arrival at the scene is required to:

- re-inform the fire department about the occurrence of fires, as well as inform the head (founder) of the organization about what happened;

- in case of a threat to the life and health of people, take measures to save and evacuate them by all available means;

- urgently stop any work in the building, except for those aimed at eliminating fires;

- make a power outage and prevent fire and smoke in the premises;

- remove from the danger zone all personnel and other persons who are not involved in the elimination of fires;

- to manage fire extinguishing measures until the arrival of the fire department;

- together with the elimination of the fire, take emergency measures to evacuate employees and property from the enterprise;

- ensure compliance with safety requirements in case of fire by employees who are involved in the elimination of fire;

- meet the fire brigades that arrived at the place, and indicate the shortest access path to the source of ignition.

According to the fire safety instructions, upon arrival of fire departments at the scene, the person responsible for fire safety must give information to the fire department manager about the structural features of the building, adjacent structures and various buildings, fire hazardous substances stored or used at the enterprise, their quantity and properties. You must also provide other information required by the fireman to prevent the occurrence of fires.
