Plot
According to the plot, the time of action is 2015. The world is a post-apocalypse. Not so long ago, a serious disaster occurred, which destroyed most of humanity. The series "Evangelion" is referred to the genre of "fur", because it is based on the interaction of people with robots.
The main character of "Eva" Shinji is an ordinary 14-year-old schoolboy. But the father imposes on the boy the duty to control the robot, a complex mechanism that is supposed to kill the mysterious creatures called Angels. Shinji was initially not confident in his abilities and against being a pilot. But he is forced to obey.
The name of the anime comes from the names of the robotic machines themselves - the Evangelions. The scene is the city of Tokyo-3, specially created as a fortress and secret object to protect humanity from the Angels. These strange creatures periodically attack and are capable of destroying the entire planet.
Characters
Shinji Ikari is not the only robot pilot. He is only the third, and the first two are schoolgirls Ray and Asuka. All the guys are about the same age. Shinji is a shy guy who has serious problems with his father. As the story progresses, the young man changes, becomes more responsible and self-confident.
Ray in "Evangelion" - the most mysterious character, about which little is known over many episodes. She does not say anything about herself, practically does not communicate with anyone and always keeps aloof.
Asuka Langley is a character completely opposite in character. Emotional and quick-tempered, she has a high opinion of herself and is somewhat rude to others. At the same time, as a pilot, Asuka is unusually capable and decisive.
