Blaschikovsky Jakub was born on December 14, 1985 in Poland, where at the age of eight he began to play football at the academy of the Rakow club. Two years later, a tragedy occurred in his family - his father killed his mother, and little Cuba remained in the care of his grandmother. For some time, he abandoned both football and school due to emotional shock, but later returned to both study and training. Until 2002, Blashchikovsky was in the Rakuva system, but at the age of 17 he moved to Gurnik, and a year later signed a professional contract with the Czestochowa club. There he spent only a year and a half, playing 24 matches and scoring 11 goals. In the winter of 2005, the Krakow Wisla bought a young talent for 14 thousand euros. In this club Blaschikovsky Yakub spent another two and a half years, played 67 matches and scored five goals. It was here that he won his first trophy, becoming the champion of Poland, and in 2007 went on to increase - he was acquired by Dortmund Borussia for three million euros, with which he will connect his whole career.
The game for Borussia
Blaschikovsky Jakub, whose photographs were on the covers of all Polish and German sports magazines by 2007, immediately began his journey into the main team. Already in the first season he played 27 matches, in the second - 29, and then he has already become an indispensable part of the club. He became one of the most important players of Borussia, who won two championships in a row - in 2011 and 2012. Also with Dortmund, Cuba won the German Cup, and in 2013 reached the final of the Champions League. However, since 2013, he suddenly appeared in the role of a reservist - in two seasons he played only 44 matches, which made him think about changing the club registration. He gave Borussia his best years, played 252 matches for it and scored 32 goals, became a fan favorite, but did not agree with the role of a reservist, and in the summer of 2015 went on loan to the Italian Fiorentina.

“Violets” paid one million euros for a one-year rental, but Blaschikovsky’s season did not work out - he entered the field only 18 times and scored only two goals. Therefore, the club, which initially considered the option of redeeming the transfer of the Pole, abandoned this idea, and in the summer of 2016, Cuba returned to Borussia.

Cuba grew up a rather reserved person, he is extremely religious and reads the Bible every day. He attributes his success in life to the account of his grandmother, who raised him after the death of her mother, and devotes every goal scored on the football field to her mother.
In 2010, Blaschikovsky married Agatha Golashevskaya, with whom he has two daughters - Olivia and Lena.
