Felix Antipov was born in Moscow. He was born in 1942, in the midst of the Great Patriotic War.

After he graduated from high school, he went to work in an orchestra, as he had a craving for music. He played the trombone and various percussion instruments. After he went to serve in the army.

Later in his memoirs, Felix Antipov admitted that if he had not entered the theater school, he would most likely have connected his life with music.

His fate was such that he entered the Shchukin school on the first attempt. It didn’t even take him several years, like many other actors who later became famous. He graduated from the school in 1968. Despite the vicissitudes of the law, he had no problems with employment. Yuri Lyubimov called him to the Taganka Theater, and Andrei Goncharov to the Mayakovsky Theater. These directors valued talent more than political unreliability.

But at the same time, communicating with Antipov, Goncharov recalled a suspended sentence, saying that he would have to keep an eye on him in the theater. Lyubimov reacted very differently, saying that he knew everything, but he didn’t care. The choice in favor of the Taganka theater was obvious. At the Taganka Theater in 1968, Felix Antipov made his debut. The actor played the role of Motyakov in the play "Alive" based on the novel of the same name by Boris Mozhaev. True, the fate of the production was short-lived. A year later, she was banned by the Soviet Minister of Culture Ekaterina Furtseva. It was a play about the confrontation of the peasant living in the Ryazan region with the collective farm authorities.

It was very difficult, because Lyubimov was often accused of leaving unfairly little space for actors in his productions. This experimental path, along with the troupe, also went through Antipov. Like everyone else, he often played in the performances of Lyubimov in several episodic, sometimes even unnamed roles in one performance.

The last of these roles, he first performed in 1968, and then played it until his death.

Theater critics noted that Lyubimov was particularly passionate about Antipov as an actor. Gave him roles in almost all productions.
