The series “The Magnificent Century”, the production of which was launched in 2011, has gained immense popularity in its homeland - in Turkey, as well as far beyond it. But there is a limit to everything, and now many fans of the series are eager to find out how the "Great Age" ends.
What exactly attracted the attention of this original series? First of all, of course, with an interesting story about the life and rule of Suleiman the Magnificent, who managed to significantly expand the territory of the Ottoman Empire, adding a huge amount of land to it. At first it was planned to remove only three seasons, consisting of 100 episodes, but then it was decided to increase the number of seasons to four.
In fact, the serial film is a Turkish transcription of the story of the famous Roksolan, who managed to break the usual foundations of the Ottoman sultanate. Initially, answering the question of how the “Magnificent Century” will end, the creators claimed that the end of the series would come with the death of the main character.
The invaders kidnap a girl named Alexandra from her hometown, killing all her relatives and friends, and then reselling her to the Ottomans as a slave. So she finds herself in the harem of Suleiman, who recently became the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. Realizing that she would not be able to return home, Alexandra decides to achieve the highest position in the Sultanate, namely, to become the wife of Suleiman, and then the Valide Sultan.
Many fans, asking themselves the question of how the "Great Age" ends, are revising the beginning of the series, where Alexandra, who decided to achieve everything, herself became a victim of love for Suleiman. The first season tells about the struggle between the Slav who got the name Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska (bringing joy) and the third wife of Suleiman - Mahidevran, who did not want to give way to the rival.
It should be noted another storyline. This is a struggle between Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska and Ibrahim Pasha - the closest friend of Suleiman I. There is a legend that Ibrahim was in love with Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska, but she could not reciprocate. According to historical data, Ibrahim Pasha was executed in 1534 by order of the Sultan Suleiman. What exactly became the reason why Kanuni executed his best friend, no one can say, but after his execution the sultan felt acute loneliness until the end of his life. The creators of the series, responding in 2011 to the question of how the "Great Age" will end, stated that the serial Ibrahim Pasha would not be executed. Subsequently, they changed their own decision.
The most expensive project in Turkey today is the series "The Magnificent Century." How will the film end? The finale of the fourth, final, season is the death of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. Selim II, the son of Suleiman the Magnificent from Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska, ascended the throne after him. All other children of the great Sultan died, and two of them were executed by order of Suleiman himself.
