Cheese Viola: brand history
It began to be produced in 1934 in Finland. Cheese "Viola" can be called a kind of business card company Valio. It does not immediately become clear that in fact the brand name was formed after the rearrangement of letters in the name of the company.
Many do not even suspect that it was originally called Oliva. The Russian market was enriched with this product only in 1956 after the company decided to send exports to the USSR. Before that, Russia had never heard of such an explosion of taste sensations as processed Viola cheese. Its creamy taste has remained in the memory of three generations of the post-Soviet space.
However, the product gained real fame in 1980 during the Olympics in the capital, when the Soviet government decided to entrust Valio to act as the official supplier of dairy products during the competition. Initially, Viola processed cheese was considered a delicacy and was the decoration of every festive table, and later turned into the perfect complement to sandwiches and sandwiches.
Through decades
Many times the packaging of the famous product underwent transformations: at first it was a plastic jar weighing 250 grams, but now the variety of species has become commonplace. You will find the “Viola” cheese in the “triangles”, and “baths”, and slices. But always, in any design scenario, the blonde Viola showed off on the packaging of this product. In 2009, cream cheese began to be produced in triangles at the new Valio plant in the Moscow Region (Ershovo).
2014 is the anniversary date of the producer of processed goodies. It was this year that the first bathtubs with processed cheese began to be produced at the enterprise itself, and the partner enterprise was distinguished by the release of sweet cream butter under the same brand.
This product meets all the requirements of GOST and is produced according to a special recipe verified by Valio technologists from Finland.
2016 brought into the world the Viola cheese in slices.
Production technology
This cheese is made from hard and semi-hard grades (tilsit, edam, emmental), milk powder and butter. The ingredients used to create this unique treat are natural and meet all domestic and European quality standards.
For example, “Viola” cheese with mushrooms really includes porcini mushrooms and chanterelles, and the boiled pork version actually contains pieces of natural meat.
The unique recipe, which was developed by Finnish technologists, still remains unchanged - it is strictly observed at all Valio plants. As suppliers guarantee, the raw materials for Viola do not contain either GMOs or antibiotics. The additives indicated on the package are really natural and gradually expand the boundaries of the taste spaces - new tastes are invented for the most demanding gourmets.
