In addition to the main part, the power also includes Hawaii, Alaska and small islands in the Caribbean. Thus, the total territory of this rating participant is 9.5 million square kilometers, which is only slightly less than Canada and China. The fifth in the list of countries by world area was Brazil with an indicator of 8.5 million km 2 . The state is spread out in the east and in the center of South America. The majority of the population (86% of 206 million) lives in urban areas. This contributes to the development of megacities.

In sixth place in the list of countries of the world by area is the mainland, which is one state. Australia is considered one of the most favorable countries for life, because for 7.6 million square kilometers there are only 21507719 inhabitants. Its density indicator is one of the smallest in the world. The mainland is washed by the Pacific as well as the Indian Ocean. The seventh line in the ranking is occupied by India, which in terms of population is only a small fraction inferior to China. At nearly 3.3 million square kilometers, 1.3 billion people are located. This contributes to the development of megacities with a huge population, even though mainly residents live in rural areas. The state in southern Asia is washed by the waters of the ocean, which has a name consonant with the country. Argentina took the eighth position with an indicator of 2.78 million square kilometers. The population here is 43417000, it mainly lives in the south and in the center of South America.

The ninth position in the list of countries by territory is Kazakhstan. The state lagged behind Argentina only by fifty six thousand square kilometers, which is quite a bit on a global scale. This power is located on the border of Europe with Asia, but only a small fraction belongs to the first part. Only 18 million people are located on its vast territory, most of them live in cities. The density is only 6.63 people per square kilometer. Algeria, a power in northern Africa, closes the top ten. Its area, almost 2.4 million square kilometers, is inhabited by 38 million people. The country is washed by the Mediterranean Sea from the west, other African states are located on other sides. Population growth is positive, most residents are Arabs.
