Dysbacteriosis and restoration of intestinal microflora

Imbalance in the intestinal microflora very often leads to a disease such as dysbiosis. It occurs in almost 90% of adults and 95% of children.

Dysbacteriosis can occur in any healthy person, there is nothing to worry about. The main reason for the appearance of this disease is the use of antibiotics, which kill both good and bad bacteria in the intestines. Recovery after antibiotics is the most important step in the prevention and treatment of dysbiosis. In order to protect the intestines, it is necessary to take special medications that will help restore the natural microflora and contribute to the production of the necessary bacteria.

Dysbacteriosis Symptoms, treatment

Symptoms of this disease can be very diverse, depending on its degree. Today, there are 4 degrees of dysbiosis:

  1. The first stage can manifest itself as minor disturbances of microflora, and in most cases is not accompanied by symptoms.
  2. The second stage entails more serious changes in the internal environment of the intestine. The main symptom characteristic of the second stage is diarrhea. At the same time, its color may be green and has a very unpleasant odor.
  3. The third stage is characterized by a very fast multiplication of various bacteria in the intestines of the person, which leads to frequent diarrhea, as in the second stage, the stool has an unpleasant odor and green color. Also, a person's health greatly worsens, lethargy and drowsiness appear.
  4. The fourth stage is the most difficult. At this stage, in the human intestine, bacteria multiply, which are the causative agents of dysentery, E. coli, and salmonellosis. These diseases can trigger the development of an acute infectious disease. The main symptoms at this stage are nausea, headache, loss of appetite, drowsiness, weakness, and persistent diarrhea.

The treatment of dysbacteriosis is best carried out in the early stages, when the disease has not gone too far, for this it is necessary to restore the intestinal microflora. But first, of course, you need to completely kill the bad bacteria with antibacterial drugs. Basically, with dysbiosis , antibiotic groups such as tetracyclines, quinolones and penicillins are used. They must be taken within 7-10 days, while completely eliminating the use of alcohol.

Restoring intestinal microflora is the next step in the treatment of dysbiosis. For this, special bacterial preparations are used that can fulfill the physiological function of microflora. Such drugs include Linex, Bifikol, Bactisubtil, Bifidumbacterin. The course of treatment in some cases reaches two months.

After the restoration of intestinal microflora, prophylaxis of dysbiosis is necessary. But in the conditions of our life, this is an extremely difficult task, because its solution is associated with the general problems of all mankind: improving the environment, proper nutrition and other factors of the external and internal environment.

Secondary prevention involves taking antibacterial drugs and a balanced, proper diet.

Restoring intestinal microflora is a rather lengthy process, in which it is very important to monitor your diet and adhere to medications. With dysbiosis, you must completely exclude smoked, spicy, salty foods, sweet foods, fried foods from your diet, as well as limit the use of proteins and fats, as they are digested for a long time. You can replace these products with more useful ones - juices, dairy products, fruits and vegetables, and soups.
