What is needed for inspection?

The current inspection rules are enshrined in a law that entered into force in 2012. However, a year later, motorists remained unfamiliar with these rules. If you want to find out what you need for inspection and how to get through it without a headache - check out the materials we provided.

The rules of passing inspection 2012 greatly simplified this procedure. One of the most significant innovations is the ability to check the technical condition of the car at any point of technical inspection of the country, regardless of the place of registration of the car. That is, now, if the need for passing the inspection found you far from home, you do not have to trudge across the country: just find the nearest point.

In addition, the list of inspection points has been expanded. At the moment, this procedure is carried out by traffic police inspection points, state points that have managed to conclude an agreement on a new inspection before the law is passed, as well as private legal entities - commercial operators. That is, now before asking the question what is needed for inspection, first the motorist needs to choose any of the items he likes located nearby.

If earlier information on inspection was stored only in paper form, now all operators are connected to a single electronic database, which contains information about each vehicle that has passed this procedure. The list of this information consists of the following items:

1) make and model of the car, VIN and body number;

2) the full name and details of the passport (or other identification documents) of the person who delivered the car;

3) the address of the item;

4) the number, validity and date of issue of the coupon or the coupon itself in electronic form;

5) electronic version of the diagnostic card;

6) the full name of the specialist who issued the coupon.

Moreover, the information is entered into the database almost immediately (during the day). This means that if the car owner could not pass the inspection at one point due to a malfunction and decided to go to another (with less vigilant workers), nothing will come of it. If the second point does not notice a malfunction, they will find out about it from the electronic database.

Another nice innovation is the reduction in the list of documents required for inspection. So, in accordance with the applicable rules, the following documents are required for passing the inspection:

1) passport or other documents proving your identity (for the representative of the owner of the machine, a power of attorney is also required);

2) certificate of registration of a car or (if the car is not registered) TCP.

For motorists on the road, this means that they will always have the necessary set of documents.

The time of the inspection is also regulated by law, and all the necessary information can be found on the Internet, so you do not need to worry and think what is needed for the inspection. For different categories of vehicles, it ranges from 10 to 68 minutes. In particular, for passenger cars of category B - 30 minutes.

The new law also changed the procedure for issuing OSAGO insurance policy: if before it had to be obtained before being inspected, now it is issued after receiving the coupon. The innovation is quite logical - before insuring a car, you need to make sure that it is fully operational.

Repeated procedure is paid. Therefore, before you ask what you need for inspection, make sure the vehicle is in good condition. If you could not pass the inspection the first time, then the second time it is better to appear at the same point. In this case, only those parts that were β€œrejected” during the first procedure will be subject to inspection. In another point, you have to go through all over again and, accordingly, pay more.

Good luck on the road and do not delay with technical inspection!
