You can gargle with soda and drip a solution of soda in your nose (a pinch of soda dissolved in two teaspoons of water). Baking soda is also an excellent expectorant; for this, add a pinch of salt and half a teaspoon of soda to half a glass of water. You can cure a dry cough with soda and milk, for this you need to drink a glass of warm milk with a spoon of soda for the night.
Drinking soda from thrush
Sometimes baking soda is used in the treatment of thrush, although the positive effect of such treatment is achieved only in half the cases. The fungus that causes thrush perishes in an alkaline environment, which is why a soda solution is used for douching (1 tablespoon per liter of boiling water). Such treatment is quite safe and very cheap, but it also has its drawbacks. Firstly, to cure thrush, it is necessary to carry out the procedure 5-6 times a day for two weeks, and secondly, a stable positive effect is achieved only in 50% of cases. That is why this method of treating thrush is rarely used, because the pharmacy has many modern antifungal drugs.
How to rinse your mouth with soda ?
You can also rinse your throat with soda during caries, this is a great way to keep your teeth in perfect order, because soda does not spoil the enamel and does not contribute to tooth decay. Sometimes a solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide with a teaspoon of baking soda is used to rinse your mouth, this is the way to rinse eliminates bad breath. Drinking soda helps in many cases, but it is not a panacea for all ills. It is best to use it when there are no more modern medicines at hand or if it is not possible to visit a doctor.
