Pedagogical activity, like any other, requires careful organization. We all remember at least one or two lectures that fascinated and captured us. The aerobatics of the teacher will be brilliant improvisation, but it is always thought out. And although they are taught in specialized universities to draw up notes, in which it is necessary to write down the objectives of the
lesson, tasks, materials, in real teaching practice everything looks a little different. A real teacher follows the planned plan, as it were, gradually, and does not frantically follow the notebook: "as if not to forget." Of course, mastery comes over the years and experience, and the objectives of the lesson can be very different: educational, methodological, training, and developing ... Often it is impossible to clearly separate them, tear one from the other. And thanks to the variety and change of activities in the lesson, sometimes almost everything can be realized in one topic. Especially this
concerns humanitarian subjects in which knowledge is always “humanized”, colored by psychological nuances. For example, while discussing the poetry of Pushkin or Tyutchev, analyzing Natasha Rostova’s first ball or Katerina’s monologue from Thunderstorm, we are not just dealing with the
theory of literature, but touching living tissue — the soul. Or, for example, history - here, too, the objectives of the lesson are most often complex and complex. Talking about the French Revolution can easily become not just information about dates and faces, but also touch upon deeper issues: violence, protest, social changes ...
In the same way, the goals of a foreign language lesson, and in
school, and courses, and university, are multifaceted. On the one hand, we work out new grammatical or syntactic constructions, introduce the next portion of words. On the other hand, only then the assimilation of the material will be successful when the material vividly affects the students. Therefore, the objectives of the lesson must include both improving
language competencies and comprehending a new one. A foreign language refers to those subjects that provide not just knowledge, but that same “second wing”. It is
these lessons that lay the foundation for human socialization. It is on them that his sense of self in the era of globalization depends. If a teacher, realizing the developing goals of the lesson, manages to throw a bridge to another culture, to a different way of thinking, then he has realized the task set for him. What exactly can this be manifested in? In the selection of material. For example, sometimes a beautiful song with good lyrics will not only serve to refine the grammatical constructions, but it will also be interesting, captivating from an aesthetic point of view, and introducing the author to the work. Or a topic related to controversial historical events for countries, which cause debate and raise new questions. No need to be afraid of such materials, such texts in the classroom. The objectives of the lesson, for example, educational, will in this case be realized implicitly, along with educational. Pupils will gain experience in conducting discussions, think about how to look at the problem differently, and finally, will learn tolerance for someone else's, different from our opinion. Various, interesting, deep materials will help to master the training program as if at the same time with the general development, with the
formation of personality.
