The beginning of the sports path
Alexander Kupriyanov was born on July 23, 1952 in the city of Kuibyshev, at the moment this city is renamed to Samara. As a child, he was a physically developed child and tried himself in many sports. As a result, Alexander chose football. He began to study at the local Kuibyshev school. Upon completion, Kupriyanov was in the professional team “Wings of the Soviets”.
He did not have time to master in the first team. The Kuibyshev team needed a result. This football player spent his first match on July 3, 1970 against Lokomotiv from Tbilisi. Already on August 1, Alexander Kupriyanov marked his first goal for his native club. In the match against Kiev “SKA”, when “Wings of the Soviets” lost with the score 0: 1, Kupriyanov made the score in a draw. True, then the team from Kiev scored again and won the match.
Continuing a career in Wings of the Soviets
Alexander Kupriyanov best played the 1974 regular season. In it, he spent 37 matches and scored 13 goals. As part of his native club, this football player twice became the champion of the first league. Kupriyanov was a universal player. He began his career as a striker and sometimes went in the midfield, helping the attack. In 1979, a team from Kuibyshev needed a central defender and the coaching staff decided to try Kupriyanov in this position. Alexander Ivanovich Kupriyanov, along with four teammates, spoke at the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR. In this tournament, the team took fourth place.
Major League Departure and Retirement
In 1979, problems with the roster in the Kuibyshev team led to the club taking the last place in the regular season and flew out of the major league. The season next year, FC “Wings of the Soviets” also spent unsuccessfully. The team in the first league barely scored points and gradually slipped down the standings. After the Kuibyshev club finished last in the first league, Alexander Kupriyanov completed his professional career. Many football experts call him one of the best players in the history of Wings. For the Kuibyshev team, he spent 328 matches and scored 59 goals.
Personal life
Alexander Kupriyanov has been married for a long time. His two sons, like him, love football. They did not work out professional football players, but they regularly play in amateur leagues of Samara. The youngest son, Ivan, is a playing coach for the Real Svyaz club. The eldest son Boris also took part in the creation of this team. The club received its name due to the fact that the brothers are the leaders of the network of salons "Real Svyaz".
