The fact that spelling is at the root of the word - a topic that many cannot master until the end of their days, has long been no secret. For adults, it’s worthwhile for adults to clarify: a spelling is the letter in a word that can be spelled incorrectly. Basically, spelling in the root of the word is divided into two classes.
One class is unverifiable spelling at the root of the word, that is, the so-called dictionary words, whose spelling is intended to be remembered. The other includes several groups and is called - checked spelling in the root of the word. The second group of spelling includes unstressed vowels, voiced and dull (dubious) consonants, unpronounced consonants.
The spelling of the named spelling begins to be studied back in elementary school, but, unfortunately, not all children like Russian lessons. Therefore, it will not be superfluous to offer teachers and parents several developmental games to consolidate these skills.
For example, spelling lotto. For this game, you need to make several cards on which, like the usual lotto cards, there is a grid of squares. Some squares should be painted over, leaving the same number of free cells in each row. Then you need to enter “question letters” in them: “a”, “about”, “e”, “and”, “s”, “z”, “t”, “d”, “k”, “g”, “B”, “p”, “f”, “w” and others, respectively.
“Barrels” will be small cards with words, in which spelling should be highlighted in the root of the word. The facilitator takes out a small card and reads out a word. Players who have the desired spelling on the game map raise their hand and name the missing letter. If he turns out to be right, selects the correct word correctly or gives the definition of “unverified spelling”, then closes the guessed letter. It should be noted that the player who first gives the correct answer closes the letter. And the winner is, accordingly, the one who closes all the “question” cells faster than anyone else. Prizes for winning can also be envisaged: at school, these can be marks or points, and at home, sweets or stickers.
The second game may be vocabulary dominoes. It is similar to lotto in that on the “dominoes” that can be made of cardboard, words are also pasted in which a variety of spelling is missing at the root of the word. Players must substitute words with the same missing letters to each other, at the same time calling a test word or saying “dictionary word”.
During the lesson, the teacher can conduct a quick test of skills with the help of claps. The whole class or group of students gets up. The teacher explains the task: “Slam” the words with the spelling “O” in the root. Who slams on "A" - loses and sits in his place, like the one who does not slam on "O". We closely monitor not only our results, but also other players. Started! ”
The teacher calls the words: house, pocket, crowd, pillars, tables, get up, force, and the like. After a few words, you can change the letter and even the spell check rule. For example, offer to "slap" the letter "Z". Accordingly, the words will be as follows: cart, mowing, request, forest, climbed, ointment, manhole, basin, times, nose, tray and the like.
Usually, the remaining children after the spelling skills of all the studied spelling are checked are marked with excellent marks. This exercise, in addition to checking the knowledge of the Russian language, replaces a small physical minute, so it can begin with the usual exercises. You can replace popping with jumps or squats. Children really like the various changes in this exercise.
You can organize a competition between the rows, called the "chain". On the board you should write a specific letter for each row. On the table, scatter cards with words missing spelling. children come up to the table one at a time and choose the right word. You need to attach it under your letter. As soon as this student completes his task, he sits in his place and passes the baton to the next player.
A series that is most likely to cope with the task and at the same time does not make any mistakes is considered to be the winner. It can be noted that in the first patrol of this series a rolling flag of the winner is displayed.
And in general - the more game moments during the study of the Russian language, the more optimal the learning outcome.
