Serov Mechanical Plant is a large industrial enterprise in Russia. It was founded on November 1, 1931. Previously, as a separate workshop, it was part of the Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant. Initially produced products for the aviation, railway and agricultural industries. In the post-war period, it began to produce tools for exploration and became the largest producer in the country in this industry.
OJSC “Serov Mechanical Plant” is geographically located in the industrial center of the North Ural region - the city of Serov. The developed transport infrastructure of the city allowed the plant to quickly take a leading position in the industry and actively interact with customers and partners.
Factory Products
Now the product range of the plant is represented by a tool for oil production and mining, geological exploration. The plant also includes a sewing workshop - the youngest structural unit. It was founded in 1999. Designs and manufactures working, sports and casual clothes, bedding.
The drilling tool of the plant annually receives positive feedback from consumers and customers.
FSUE Serov Mechanical Plant is actively cooperating with Russian research institutes in the development and implementation of new product samples.
The production of the plant is regulated by the quality system GOST ISO 9001 at all stages - from incoming control of the materials used to the final shipment of equipment to customers.
Equipment and technology
The Serov Mechanical Plant uses modern advanced technologies of ion nitriding, heat treatment of small parts, hardening of threads, friction welding of dissimilar materials, hot die and cold sheet stamping, high-precision electrical discharge machining, uses galvanic and paint coatings.
In 2011, the plant's fleet was seriously updated - new equipment for processing metal shavings was installed, and automated phosphating and machining lines for products for civilian products were put into operation. Fifteen numerically controlled machines were also installed.

The factory is well developed and supported by the social sphere. Serov Mechanical Plant traditionally pays great attention to the corporate culture of the company and human resources management. The plant owns its own ski base “Snezhinka”, where in winter families of factory workers can relax. A traditional event has been Health Day, which is held at the ski base on an annual basis.
The plant actively promotes a healthy lifestyle. There is a sports program, which includes competitions in swimming, tennis, bowling, soccer, streetball, volleyball, chess.
The plant annually participates in the Konzhakov mountain running marathon - a severe endurance test in extreme mountain conditions.
