After a while, a talented comedian was noticed by TV presenter Sebastian Patrick, who invited Albert to his program. It was she who made him one of the most famous French comedians. Still dreaming of cinema, Dupontel planned to create many film projects in which he could participate not only as an actor, but also as a director and screenwriter.
His debut as a director and screenwriter took place in 1992. Then Albert released his first short film called "Welcome", telling about the distant 2050. The film brought fame to Alber. In 1995, he appeared as a supporting actor in the film "A Very Modest Hero", directed by Jacques Odiar. For this role, Albert Dupontel was nominated for the Cesar Award. The following year, he again became the director of the movie "Bernie", which received the nomination "Best Debut". This motion picture well revealed the identity of Dupontel.
Filmography
Following this, the actor starred in the film "Serial Lover", and already in 1998 he appeared as the creator of his second full-length film "The Creator", the theme of which was the artist’s position in society. The following year, he receives one of the main roles in the film "Sachs Disease."
