In 1975, the film "Star of captivating happiness" was released. The actors played the Decembrists, participants in the uprising of 1825. They are recognized as masters of domestic cinema. But other characters were played by famous artists. The article lists the actors of "Stars of captivating happiness", and also briefly presents the story of the creation of the legendary film.
Historical melodrama
Today's directors can shoot pictures on any topic. Otherwise, the situation was in the mid-seventies, when the film "Star of captivating happiness" was created. The actors selected the leading roles for a long time. But this was not the main difficulty in his work.
Censorship did not immediately accept the script written by Vladimir Motyl. And even after he managed to get permission to shoot the film, many officials did not like his artistic design.
After the release of the painting, Motyl was accused of excessive melodramatism. After all, the film "Star of captivating happiness", whose actors embodied the images of national heroes on the screen, is not so much about revolutionaries as about their wives. This picture can be called historical melodrama in the best sense of this phrase.
Family history of Vladimir Motyl
It is no coincidence that the director was inspired by the theme of the Decembrists.
The participants in the uprising of 1825 in Soviet times were often compared with the revolutionaries of 1917. But there was nothing in common between them, and Motyl knew this well.
He was only three years old when his father was arrested. Mother and her young son went to Medvezhyegorsk, where the post office was then located in order to meet with her husband. The boy remembered this long, difficult path forever. When he became an adult, he often mentally compared his mother to the wife of the Decembrist. True, she was less fortunate than Trubetskoy, Volkonskaya and Annenkova. The wife of the convicted of espionage then saw her husband for the last time: a year later he died in the camp.
Filming
The picture was shot quickly. The budget was small. The music for the film was written by the famous Schwartz, poetry - Okudzhava. The romances that sound in the film create an unforgettable romantic backdrop.
Some actors in Star of Captivating Happiness were nominated by management. In those days, directors had little freedom in choosing artists. So, then still unknown to anyone Igor Kostolevsky got into the picture thanks to the titanic efforts of Vladimir Motyl.
By the way, the role of the young actor was very difficult. He did not ride well on a horse, and even the Decembrist made him useless. In the film crew they began to talk that it would be necessary to change the artist. But Bloodworm never backslidden.
Today, watching this film, hardly anyone can say that the actors and roles in "Star of captivating happiness" are poorly selected.
Kostalevsky’s partner was a Polish actress, previously unknown in the Soviet Union. She played Pauline Goble - a Frenchwoman from the fashion house, Annenkov's lover. But first things first.
The film "Star of captivating happiness": actors and roles
For example, the artist became the Prince of Trubetskoy. For some reason, he is better known throughout the post-Soviet space for his role as a mechanic Gosha. Alexey Batalov played the Decembrist four years before the filming of the film by Vladimir Menshov, but even then he was, of course, very popular. Irina Kupchenko, who played the role of Trubetskoy’s wife, in 1975 was just starting her way in cinema.
Oleg Strizhenov, one of the brightest Soviet actors of those years, played Volkonsky. And the daughter of the famous director Natalia Bondarchuk is Maria Volkonskaya.
The actress for the role of Pauline Goble Motyl was looking for a very long time. Once he fell into the hands of a Polish magazine, on the cover of which was a blonde with surprisingly blue eyes. It was Eva Shikulska, who soon arrived in St. Petersburg for film screenings. The duet of the Polish actress and Igor Kostolevsky, who played the Decembrist Annenkov, is perhaps the most touching in the film.
One of the saddest scenes is the one where Natalya Ryleeva walks along the embankment with her daughter. Her appearance was lost, and in her eyes there was a terrible emptiness and indifference. Her conspiratorial husband was executed. Ryleyev was played by Oleg Yankovsky. The wife of one of the five executed Decembrists - Natalia Fedorova.
A small but very bright role in Innocent Smoktunovsky. The heroine Kupchenko arrives in Irkutsk, meets with the local governor, and he tries in every possible way to dissuade her from a trip to Siberia. The name of the official, whose role was played by Smoktunovsky, Ivan Tseydler.
Other actors in the film: T. Pankova, L. Ivanov, R. Kurkina, M. Kokshenov. Nicholas I was played by Vasily Livanov.
