The film "Maleficent", the actors and roles in which were carefully selected, is a restart of Disney's famous fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. The main difference from the original story is the shift of the plot center from the princess to Maleficent. The tape tells about the real essence of the witch, thereby showing her as a good hero.
The fact is that Maleficent is a fairy who always protected her native forests. As a little girl, she met a guy Stefan, a poor orphan boy. Friendship between children was forbidden, since the kingdoms of magical creatures and people were at enmity with each other. Despite all the difficulties, the guys were sympathetic to each other and decided to keep in touch.
By the time the young fairy turned sixteen, Stefan and Maleficent fell in love. Unfortunately, the guy’s feelings soon disappeared and the connection between them was broken. The girl feels betrayed, but still does not hold evil at her ex-lover.
After a few years, the guy decides to meet with Maleficent and apologizes to her for his act. The girl forgives the repentant without delay, but soon finds herself again deceived. Stefan gives her sleeping pills and cuts off fairy wings at night. He brings them to the king as evidence of the death of the main protector of the magical kingdom. As a reward for this, the guy takes the princess as a wife, and also receives the throne. It was this act that caused the girl to curse Aurora, Stephen's little daughter.
