Natalya Vladimirovna Naumova was born on the first day of spring 1974. Remembering her happy childhood, she focuses on the warm and cozy family atmosphere in which she grew up. For the majority, her parents Natalya Belokhvostikova and the legendary person Vladimir Naumov always remained great artists, for the girl they were just mom and dad. In school years, Natalia showed a good talent as an artist, but as a teenager she abandoned painting, for which her father constantly scolded her.
She practically did not feel the difficulties of the acting profession in childhood, but at age 13, acting in the film “The Coast”, she began to realize that not everything was so simple and the movie was not at all a toy.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Natalya Naumova enters VGIK, where the wise, wonderful masters A. Dzhigarkhanyan and A. Filozov become her mentors. The film debut of the young actress after graduating from VGIK becomes the film "White Holiday", in which the novice performer was lucky to play with the brilliant I. Smoktunovsky. This was the last creative work of the great actor. Innokenty Mikhailovich played his father, Natalia - his daughter.
Discovering New Horizons
When Natalya Naumova realized that the director was no less interesting profession than acting, she again went to study, but already at the directing department, in the workshop of Surikova. Her debut work is the documentary chronicles “My Life in the Movie”. After Naumova, she shot the whole series “A Thousand and One Stories about Cinema” for the channel “Culture”.
For Natalia, documentary chronicles and feature films are not mutually exclusive, so her next project was the full-length film “Year of the Horse, the Scorpio Constellation”, which was produced by Vladimir Naumov. According to the director, she was afraid that his authority would crush her author’s vision, so she immediately set the condition for her father not to appear on the set. The film tells the touching story of friendship and love of man and animal.
The second significant project
The second author’s work of the director and actress Natalya Naumova is the film “It Is Snowing in Russia”. This is a story about a foreign journalist who first arrived in the Russian Federation. A casual phone conversation fundamentally changes the life of the protagonist, drawing him into a risky adventure. According to Naumova, this is an exclusively family picture. Father again acted as a producer and co-writer of the script. One of the main roles was played by mother Natalia Belokhvostikova, in addition to her, I. Kokorin, V. Zolotukhin, K. Kozinskaya, A. Adabashyan and Bulgarian actor R. Mladenov starred in the project.
Natalia’s personal life has always been hidden behind a curtain of mystery. It is known for certain that her husband also graduated from VGIK, only the screenwriting department. But currently works in the banking sector.
