The internal and external structure of the female genital organ

The female reproductive system is divided into internal and external genital organs. Between them is the hymen.

The external structure of the genitals of women.

They consist of the clitoris, pubis, labia (large and small), the vestibule of the vagina and its large glands. Basically, the correct external structure of the female genital organ is found. Underdevelopment or abnormalities are rare.

The pubis is located on the anterior abdominal wall in its lower part. It represents a slight elevation.

Below the pubis, there are large labia on both sides of the genital fissure. In their lower sections are large secretory glands that secrete during excitation and during sexual intercourse. Their thickness contains fat rich in fiber.

Between the large lips are very delicate pink skin folds (small lips). Their structure does not contain adipose tissue, but sebaceous glands, nerve endings and blood vessels are collected in it. The increased sensitivity of the small lips allows you to attribute them to the organs of sexual arousal (like the clitoris). In some cases, the external structure of the female genital organ is distinguished by overly developed small lips. At the same time, they close the vaginal entrance and hang down behind the labia majora.

The clitoris is usually located slightly above the entrance to the vagina. However, the structure of the female genital organ for each particular woman is individual. So, the clitoris may be too high or too low in relation to the entrance. Its structure and form corresponds to the male member, with only one difference - in size. The clitoris is much smaller than the penis. In some women in an unexcited state, it is difficult to touch the clitoris by touch. With sexual stimulation, he, increasing in size, begins to protrude above the labia.

The inner surfaces of the small lips limit the space on both sides, which is called the vestibule of the vagina. The clitoris is located in front, and the fusion of small and large lips is located in the back. On top of it covers the hymen (or its remains).

The leaves of the mucous membrane with bundles of muscle tissue laid between them form a hymen. Through the openings in it (one or more) of different sizes and shapes, menstrual blood is released. Sometimes there is a structure of the female genital organ, from a very early age not having hymen. In many cases, the hymen stretches during the first sexual intercourse, but persists until childbirth.

The internal structure of the female organs involved in sexual intercourse and childbirth includes: the vagina (vagina), fallopian tubes, uterus and ovaries.

The vagina is in the form of a stretchable elastic tube. The average depth of the female vagina is about eight centimeters. It starts from the cervix, forming depressions (arches) and ends at the hymen (or its remains). Inside the vagina is covered with an elastic three-layer shell. A large number of folds allows the vagina to stretch during intercourse and childbirth.

Between the rectum and the woman’s bladder is the uterus. This organ is pear-shaped. The wide upper part, having a triangular cavity, is called the body; lower protruding into the vagina - the neck. In the direction of the cervix, the uterus narrows and passes into a narrow canal. It passes through the cervix and opens in the vagina with an “external uterine pharynx”. The upper part of the uterine cavity is connected to the fallopian tubes.

Tubes extend from the upper corners of the uterine cavity to the abdominal cavity . They have a length of the order of ten to twelve centimeters and are extended at the ends. In the expanded area of the fallopian tube, the egg is fertilized.

On the sides of the uterus is a paired organ of the amygdala - the ovaries. Their average length is four centimeters, their width is about two, and their thickness is about one and a half centimeters.
