In 2004, a book by Chizu Sayeki “Revolutionary Japanese skin care” appeared on the shelves of bookstores in Japan. In a matter of days, a brochure of several dozen pages became a bestseller. In it, Japanese beautician Chizu Saeki revealed to women secrets of beauty at any age. She gave ten simple rules, adhering to which, you can keep the skin youthful to old age.
Not so long ago, the book was translated into Russian, and our compatriots were able to see firsthand the effectiveness of the program invented by Chizu Sayeki. Her methods are simple and accessible to each of us. They do not require a lot of time and money. So, here are her rules.
The first rule. Love yourself
The first rule is the shortest, but it is the most important. According to the famous Japanese woman, one must strive for beauty, and strive actively. The cosmetologist believes that in the first place you need to want to be beautiful. You need to imagine yourself with shining eyes, smooth and ruddy skin, a thin and even oval face. Only then can we start implementing the Chizu Saeki Revolutionary Japanese Skin Care program. A professional in the beauty industry, she, like no one else, knows that external attractiveness cannot accompany a woman all her life if she does not aspire to her. So, recalling an old Soviet film, we say that the secrets of youth and beauty from Chizu Sayeki begin with the words of self-hypnosis: "I am the most charming and attractive."
The second rule. Learn to look in the mirror
It is important to look in the mirror correctly and regularly monitor the condition of the skin of the face. With the chin lowered, wrinkles appear brighter, the second chin is more noticeable . To rejuvenate your face for twenty years, just raise your chin a little. Beautician Chizu Saeki claims that the right and left halves of the face age differently. To determine which side requires increased attention, you can use the same mirror. You need to smile without opening your lips and lifting the corners. As a result, more wrinkles will appear on one side. Chizu Saeki advises this side to pay special attention - to chew on this side, sleep on it, if, waking up, you will see that it becomes smoother.

Good posture is very young. Exercise for stretching, as well as for strengthening the muscles of the back and abdominals will allow you to look and keep graceful even at a very advanced age. Over the years, women spend less and less time on their appearance - they created a family, raised children, and made a career. This is sad, since, having preserved good appearance and health, any person receives much more joy from life than the one who waved his hand.
The third rule. Watch your skin
Every morning you should determine the state of hydration, elasticity and skin tone.
The degree of moisture is checked as follows. The palms of both hands should be applied to the cheeks. Thumbs lay over earlobes. Gently press your palms to your cheeks and release. With normal humidity, the palms stick a little to the skin. If this does not happen, then the skin is overdried and requires appropriate procedures.
To understand how elastic the skin is, it must be carefully pinched with two fingers and immediately released. Normally, the skin immediately returns to its original position.
The tone of the skin around the eyes is also determined by applying palms to the cheeks and gently pulling the skin towards the ears. If as a result of this action vertical wrinkles appeared near the eyes, it means that the skin requires additional care - moisturizing and massage.
The lines and directions in which the skin around the eyes is massaged are shown in the diagram. In this place, the skin is completely devoid of fat, therefore, prone to drying out and the formation of wrinkles. From "crow's feet" helps patting on them with the pads of the index, middle and ring fingers. Previously, the skin should be cleaned of makeup and apply a special oil or cream for the eyes.
Rule Four Take care of your hands
Chizu Saeki pays particular attention to his hands. And not only because they age very quickly and most truthfully show age, but because they are our main assistant in facial care. Lotions, creams, serums, emulsions and oils should be applied with warm hands. Fingers and palms should be soft and nails short. Only in this case, you can expect a good result from massage, and massage (Chizu Sayeki emphasizes this) is one of the most effective procedures for prolonging youthful skin.
To keep your hands soft, it’s useful to do paraffin wraps once a month . This procedure is more convenient to carry out in the cabin. All other recommendations of Chizu Saeki are quite easy to implement at home. As for the hands, once or twice a week, depending on their condition, the hands should be steamed in hot water, smeared with anti-aging or greasy nourishing cream, put on plastic gloves, cotton gloves on them, and keep it like this for 1-2 hours. As a result, the hands will be like a baby. Any homework involving detergents or cleaners should always be carried out with protective gloves.
The fifth rule. Cleanse your face thoroughly
Japanese beautician pays special attention to facial cleansing. It needs to be done every night, regardless of whether there was decorative makeup on the face or not. The famous Japanese woman does not welcome exfoliating scrubs and chemical peels: “Use special creams and lotions,” says Chizu Saeki. The book, written by a practicing cosmetologist, devotes a lot of attention to gentle skin cleansing. Saeki combines the removal of impurities and cosmetics with massage, hydration and nutrition.
Facial skin cleansing begins with makeup removal. Beautician teaches how to do it right. You need to put in your palm a little cream or oil and warm. With your other hand, apply warm cream to five points - on the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin. Then, with light movements, spread the cream throughout the face. When the cream dissolves the dirt, it must be removed. Repeat two more times. All finger movements should follow directions that promote muscle relaxation. The Japanese cosmetologist Chizu Sayeki especially insists on this requirement. The book contains patterns of massage lines and arrows showing the movement of the fingers. A massage done correctly will work wonders, Sayeki claims, and a wrong massage will add wrinkles and, accordingly, will age for several years.

After removing cosmetics, the skin must be prepared for the adoption of anti-aging, moisturizing, nourishing, tightening or whitening products. For this purpose, a towel is taken, dipped in hot water, wrung out and applied to the face. When it cools down a little, the towel should be removed and rinsed immediately in cold water. Squeeze again and put on face. Repeat several times. This procedure perfectly trains blood vessels and is a prevention of rosacea. Finish it with a hot towel, which will open the pores - this is necessary for the next stage. Such contrasting compresses perfectly tone even the most flaccid skin.
The last stage of evening care should be deep cleansing - peeling is applied to wet skin, the face is covered with a napkin with cuts for the eyes and left for 10-15 minutes.
In the morning, before the make-up, just wash your face and massage your skin. Chizu Saeki recommends a facial massage with a stream of clean water. To do this, you need to take a plastic bottle with a tube, pour water into it and, squeezing the bottle with your hand, drive a stream of water along the massage lines. To make it clear what is meant, Chizu Saeki presented a photograph of this device in her book. This flask can be completely replaced with a rubber syringe with a thin tip or a shower hose, provided that the water pressure is quite strong.
Rule Six Use mask lotion
Moisturizing with a lotion mask. This procedure is best done twice a day - morning and evening. It should become part of the daily hygiene ritual, along with brushing your teeth and more.
Chizu Sayeki Lotion is an emulsion made up of water, oils and emulsifiers. The cosmetologist recommends applying it for ten minutes. First, the face is cleaned and steamed. Then the cotton pads are moistened with water and covered with a layer of lotion. These discs are placed on the forehead, chin, nasolabial folds, nose, cheeks. And left for 20 minutes. Chizu Sayeki mask lotion works more efficiently when the discs are covered with plastic wrap with cuts for the eyes, nose and mouth.
Sometimes, instead of disks, a ready-made mask of cotton fabric is used, but this is not so convenient - the disks are easy to put and press over the upper lip, near the nose at the nose and along the contour of the face. Especially on the bottom to strengthen the oval.
Rule Seven Serum and creams - only after 30
Chizu Saeki is convinced that women who celebrate their 30th birthday should be especially careful about age-related skin changes. The appearance problems that occur in young people begin in adolescence and end at 30. It's only some 15 years. The rest of the time, the skin is considered mature, and its care is about the same. Only regularity is required, that is, an everyday analysis of the skin condition, and according to its results - cleansing, moisturizing and nutrition. All this must be done in combination with the right massage, convinced Chizu Saeki. The book of the cosmetologist, it should be noted, is more devoted to the problems of mature, and not young skin.
Saeki recommends that women apply face serum to any face before applying any cream. It is more active than cream, and penetrates the epidermal cells more easily. Since serum does not protect the skin from environmental influences and is not suitable as a base for makeup, it must be covered with an appropriate cream.
Rule Eight. Watch out for ultraviolet light
The most destructive factor for skin condition, a Japanese cosmetologist considers ultraviolet rays. Japanese women, unlike European women, have always sought to protect their skin from tanning. Previously, rice powder diluted with water was used for protection, now it is special means that suppress the production of melanin by skin cells.
Currently, the ozone layer above our planet is so thin, and in places it is completely absent, that exposed skin is exposed to deadly radiation all year round. This is the cause of most cancers. For this reason, choosing a day cream, you should give preference to one that has the appropriate properties, emphasizes in his book Chizu Sayeki. Protection from the damaging effects of sunlight should begin as early as possible and never end, at least until the ozone layer is restored.
Rule Nine. The skin should rest
While intensively caring for your skin, do not forget that the epidermal cells are in constant work. Too much food is just as dangerous as a complete disregard for cosmetics. The skin should rest from cosmetics at least one day a week. On this day, you can examine your face several times under different lighting conditions and decide which problems should be resolved for the coming week. Devoting one day to such rest, you will be able to notice the appearance of age spots, comedones or vascular network in time, which means stop their development at the initial stage.
No need to be afraid that without the usual makeup you will look bad. The procedures carried out on the days preceding the day off could not but make the skin healthy, smooth and radiant, says Chizu Saeki. The reviews of women who took advantage of the recommendations from her book say that on such days they receive much more compliments than on weekdays, when they have a full set of foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, blush, lipstick, concealer, shimmer, etc. d. etc .. They are told that they are noticeably younger and prettier. Agree, if you are over thirty and you get praise of your appearance without makeup, does that mean anything ?!
Rule Ten. Eat right
High-quality products and the correct ratio of trace elements are the key to the beauty of the face and body, according to Chizu Sayeki. She gives them the tenth place in her ranking of beauty conditions for women of any age.
Water in a volume of at least one and a half liters is a prerequisite for a good metabolism. Water quality must be given special attention. For drinking, as well as for the preparation of cosmetics, only living, pure, rich in microelements and mineral salts water is suitable. It’s great if it’s glacial, melt or from a good artesian well.
Seafood and fish should take the place of pork and beef. In general, after 30, the amount of meat in the diet needs to be reduced. Animal protein should be obtained from fermented milk products - cottage cheese, yoghurts, cheese. By the way, this is the prevention of osteoporosis, which is easier to prevent than to treat.
Vegetables and fruits on the table should appear more often than bread. If it is impossible to refuse it, you should give preference to baking with bran, from whole grain or rye flour. The Japanese make bread and rice flour cakes. However, it is not all useful. The flour should be from brown rice. Then this cereal will not be harmful to health. Refined, sanded rice is a direct route to obesity and diabetes.
Eating algae perfectly affects the condition of hair and nails. Japanese women turn gray much later than women in Europe. This is due to the fact that their food contains more products containing collagen, and it is known that it is best absorbed by hair follicles, giving the hair a rich color and shine.
Food should be fractional, and portions should be small. Before eating, you need to drink a glass of water. This allows you to experience saturation from very small portions and contributes to better absorption of food.
Why Chizu Saeki can and should be trusted
Appearance is a reflection of the human inner world. Ms. Saeki herself does not practically use makeup. She cannot be called beautiful according to modern canons, but the face of this lovely woman is so friendly and calm that she wants to believe. She speaks a lot on television, gives interviews, communicates with people.
The TV screen shows Chiza Saeki in close-up - this woman has never undergone plastic surgery. She is already 73 years old (she was born in 1943), but she looks excellent, much younger than her years. And this despite the fact that Chizu leads a very active life, and her daily schedule is filled to the limit - for over 40 years this little woman has been working in the field of beauty. Currently, she manages a network of beauty salons, produces her own lotions, broadcasts, writes books and actively communicates with her fans.
Her advice is simple and feasible. You just need to want to become beautiful. And then (Chizu Saeki never tire of repeating this), with very little effort, you will be able to achieve amazing results.
Chizu Saeki says it's never too late to start looking after yourself. Even a very dry and sagging skin after a week of treatments with hydration, massage, masks and nutrition will acquire a healthy color and good tone.
The book of Chizu Sayeti was written for that category of women who are not very spoiled by society for respecting their age, that is, for our mothers and grandmothers, but they are not old at all with their souls, as is the author of the book “Revolutionary Japanese skin care ".

In an interview, Chizu Saeki noted that European women tend to take leading positions in society and the family with age, and Japanese women, on the contrary, try to go into the shadows over the years. Unlike her compatriots, Saeki became famous after celebrating her 50th birthday. The beautician put her own experience in caring for the exterior of the book. And this applies to women of that age category, who, in truth, are not very interesting to European beauty masters. After all, we have a cult of youth reigning, and admitting that you're deep in your 50s, even indecent. The recommendations of European cosmetologists are almost always addressed to young people or those who look younger than 30 (we note in brackets that this is almost always a consequence of plastic surgeries).
