In conversations on the topic of health, the word "immunity" can be found very often. What is immunity? Not everyone will answer this question right away. In most cases, people will explain that this is something that allows us to be healthy. There is a fair amount of truth in this, but in reality immunity is something more. The concept is very versatile.
The bottom line is that even modern medicine is not able to give an exhaustive answer to the question, what is immunity? In general, we can say that this is a special ability of the body to resist harmful influences from the external and internal environment.
What is immunity
This is a very complex and peculiar defense of the body, which has many levels. It is important to note that this system has been developed over the centuries, that is, it is the result of evolution.
The concept of βimmunityβ includes the general condition of the body, all metabolism that occurs in it, genetic as well as hereditary characteristics and those changes that have occurred under the influence of a particular habitat.
Change and adaptation are important properties of immunity. This gives us the opportunity to adapt even to the fact that it does not favorably affect our body.
Immunity is activated at the moment when viruses, foreign bodies, bacteria and so on enter the body. The lungs purify the air we breathe in, the liver eliminates all unnecessary from the blood, and so on.
The body is negatively affected by:
- toxic substances;
- bad food;
- viruses, infections, etc.
- external influences causing stress and mental disorders;
- chronic diseases.
Immunity can be active and passive. Active immunity is the totality of all the defenses and properties of the body. Passive immunity is what we get through vaccinations, vaccinations, and more.
Immunodeficiency leads to the fact that the body ceases to resist the effects of foreign substances. It is also worth highlighting the concept of "autoimmune deficiency." In this case, the body begins to take its own tissues for something alien that can harm. What does this lead to? To the fact that he destroys himself. This happens, for example, with psoriasis.
When antigens (harmful substances) are detected, the body begins to produce antibodies. Some of them are produced naturally, while the development of others occurs only if a person has previously been vaccinated. Antibodies protect a person for a certain period of time (after elimination of the infection) or until the end of days. It all depends on their type.
The development of antibodies leads to the fact that a person becomes immune to various kinds of diseases. Vaccinations work wonders, but still there are still many who are their ardent opponents. The bottom line is that any vaccine inflicts a very serious blow on immunity. Of course, this blow can undermine it. Not a single vaccine passes without a trace.
Immunity and health
People with poor immunity spend a lot of time on sick leave. Everyone who knows what immunity is and how significant it is must take all necessary measures in order to strengthen it or even restore it.
How to do it? First of all, we advise you to consult an immunologist who will give really invaluable advice. In general, I want to recommend playing sports in the fresh air, proper nutrition, and, of course, taking mineral and vitamin complexes.
With the right approach, it will be possible to quite quickly restore immunity and begin to live without diseases. Do not mess with your health - only a healthy person can fully enjoy life.
